Think about a slab crappie or think about a bull bluegill.

Its a gift for such a fisherman to share decades of legit knowledge to us all in detailed yet simple demonstrations. Since I'm now landlocked for the foreseeable future, I suppose I'm a freshwater fisherman now by default, so this is quickly becoming a top choice channel for me

I sure appreciate you explaining how you rig up to fish especially for crappie. I have always used minnows and a cane pole to fish for crappie in thick brush during spawning season and I usually always limit out on huge fish. Minnows are getting expensive to use so I'm thinking about going to using jigs hopefully they will work for me, the water that I fish is usually pretty muddy hope it will work out

An interesting pattern I'm coming around to notice... I classify my lures in 2 very generic types: minnows and tubes. If one is catching mostly small crappie, the other will catch larger. And vice-versa. I don't know what to make of that; but so far, that's been an effective way for me to target larger crappie.

Mr Richard, I would absolutely love if you came over to Cullman county and did a video on Duck River Reservoir. Lots of good slabs being pulled out for a new water reservoir. I've caught a few this season, but others claim to be catching 30 or more per trip. I would love to know how they're doing it because I'm grocery fishing.
