Quick question man, I’m looking forward to buying a tune from renntech for my c43, do I have to take it to a shop for them to unlock the ecu? Or as soon as renntech ships me out the OBD Tune, am I able to just plug it right in and download my tune from home? Please let me know hope that makes sense!
thanks for showing I've changed my mind for gt63s, did a tune by racechip on a45 with no issues but it's pain in the ass to reinstall everytime before service.
Ya so did I until it went blank like I explained. Phoned Renntech they were quit panicked with situation so long story short they are not certified and if you keep it tuned merc will know and warranty void
@blkg35sport If you put it back to stock settings which Renntech offers then you're good. But ya not doing it is always safer and there are a few glitches when you use it
my car says it came with ten tech tune but it feels stock comign from owning a 2016 c43 now i have the 2020 coupe but how do i know it’s rlly activated i felt like it should’ve been gaster

You send them your VIN number and they send you the module. Just that simple. Set it to tune. There’s a video on RUclips on how to do it.

NP and ya my reason for not getting racechip kinda inconvenient
Im planning on buying one for my w208 CLK 55, is this worth it? Does it really increase hp and torque?
Yes it definitely does and worth it
Do those MB functions (parking assist, traction control, etc) ever get to working with the tune on?
They do it takes on day for tune to settle in. Everything works fine after that.
If Mercedes Benz does a software update and wipes out the tune can the HHT be plugged back in to restore Renntech tune?
If you took your car in for a service you would put your car back to stock setting. To answer your original question you definitely could np at all
it’s only $2400 and they don’t even give you hp torq increase specs I guess it’s not the point
416hp total and torque is 416 as well
Safe or not? Does the car drive better and quicker?
Yes it definitely does and yes faster
Still running the tune?
You bet

I thought renntech as certified with Mercedes. You might not have to reset the tune.

@@04tsxpower what glitches do you mean?
@@TheRealBiggieSmalls When I load the tune it messes with mercedes app. Just small things but eventually starts working again
