I want one but I would hate to give up my 99 Ford Ranger that I bought new and has almost 200,000 miles on it. The truck has been perfect

I got my maverick xlt hybrid on 10-15-22 ordered it on 9-9-21 it is a very nice truck I paid $26,450 out the door got lucky my dealer sold it to me 4 the price when I ordered it 👍I could sell it the next day to carvona 4 $32,000 these are some crazy times glad I didn't sell it!
I'm happy to hear you got into yours so soon after ordering! It's a fantastic truck which is why Ford has so many orders on them. I don't think Ford planned for the Maverick to blow up the way it did
Did you end up getting 23' or 22'?
Waited 6 months for a xlt, awd with luxury pack. In June I bought a Santa Cruz instead. More options. A year later they still can't build the Maverick. For a little more money I got a better vehicle

XLT can be Hybrid or Ecoboost if I recall correctly… Drivetrain isn’t specific to Trim selection.
Yes, you can select to upgrade the engine on all trims to the 2.0 Turbo when customizing one which this one has!

That's proposing I have Ford Maverick ordered over a year so far nothing I wish anyone would make something similar

Demand likely won’t lessen. They closed the orders for the 2023 after 5 days of being open, and they got 80,000+ orders.
This car is only built at one plant, and that plant also produces 2 other cars, so they need to split production between 3 cars at that plant.
They likely won’t be able to produce them any faster than they already are, so the demand will likely stay high unless other car brands make their own Maverick Competitors.

The demand on new cars is just in general, they're all hard to get but vehicles like the Maverick especially. I know you'll enjoy it once you get your hands on one that's your very own!
Ford is building another factory for the Mavericks due to high demand
@@jj-eo7bj it takes at least 2 years for a new plant to be up and running at full production nowadays, it’s not like they can sprout it up and it’s running in less than a year.
I work in the auto industry, more specifically in start up for new plants, or retooling for old plants, and it’s a lengthy process for them to be up and running at full capacity. Demand will not lessen anytime soon from how I see it.
Same thing last January (shortage). I'll wait for the 2024. Maybe a Hybird AWD tow package in the works. Don't be suckered in by hype. Dealers are charging up to $10k over sticker price.

I got one by chance in July, walked in customer backed out I stepped in. Edit it's not a nice soft touch anything inside except for the armrest and the door handle.
Did they fix the recalls?
THE VERY FACT THAT YOU CAN'T EVEN ORDER ONE OF THE 2023'S SAYS A LOT OF THE PREPLANING OF FORD'S LEADERSHIP! Yet they have plans to build even more ev's and hybrid's??? They can't even get enough parts to satisfy current demand. They need to open more plants to build this truck and find more sources of the hard to get parts.
