I purchased one from Richards after watching this video as always your explanation is so simple & easy step by step guide. However I snapped the plastic grommet in the middle of the roof, as it was quite hard to get out. It works brilliant, THANK YOU , awaiting your next instruction set up .
It can be a bit tricky that one. I'd suggest you put some sealant on there and tape it in place until it dries, otherwise you could end up with water entry if the grommet isn't well sealed against the metal.
The right way to undo the grommet is from the other side, rises down the roof a bit and undo it from there, otherwise 90% it will snapped or not hold very well and cus leaking.
Not without modification. The GXL has an incandescent light, which has a different connector to the LEDs fitted to the VX +. Richards are unable to find the correct plugs. So you can fit it, but you'd need to manually spice in to the light wiring rather than use the plugs fitted to the supplied loom.
Many mistakes (at least 3 mistakes) during your installation. Your 300 will be water leak soon. The rubber seal will be a big headache for you as well.
Great video for a simple, yet very useful mod

This tutorial is excellent. Thank you.
An excellent step-by-step installation guide. Well put together. These are the gear I like, OEM looking ones. 👍
Another great tutorial👍
Awesome Video Jamie. I have a GXL which has the rear light. Do you know if this kit will fit?. Cheers

It's been in for over a year now. No water or dust leaks. All working fine.
