I have modded fallout 4 to become a horrible, punishing zombie apocalypse.
Weapon Mods, Armor Mods, Loot Changes, Spawn Replacements, AI Changes ETC
In this video I will be trying to survive as a Sniper who is over-watching a crossroads. Sniping anyone who travels along it.
KEY MODS:
Zombie Walkers - Ghouls are slow and spawn loads
True Damage - Damage based on bullet, not gun
Scourge - Health does not increase on level up, no scaling for it
Player Undeath - On death, loose caps, drop gear and respawn random/settlement
Fallsouls - the game does not pause at all
Damn Apocalypse - Loot is location dependent and rarer.
Chemfluence - AI combat changes

@@CowboobsYT if you do another challenge like this don't use a snub noses revolver their notorious for having bad accuracy
Even a Terrible gun can hit from 10 yards ... Except in FO4 😂
@@why_wait You'd be very surprised, handguns alot better than a snub-nosed revolver miss from ten yards all the time. Handguns in general are not really reliable in terms of accuracy for the average person.
@tater8251 but revolvers never jam. Or atleast that's what games taught me I'm English and the only gun I've ever touched is a 22 bolt action in cadets
I want this to be its own game. This is exactly the kind of zombie game I want out there. This is so perfect, when I have free time in downloading all these mods and playing this. I love the sniper nest you made too lol, the roleplay is wild. If this was its own game with multiplayer I’d buy it for any price lol
I feel like you could make a really enjoyable indie game out of this idea. Make it so the only area you have to implement is like a four block area, use random generation so each play through is slightly different, chop the gameplay between exploring to get resources or resting to regain health. The resting portion can include you making food and building your base/tools/guns but you have to keep your eye on the perch window so you don’t get attacked by raiders or hunted by zombies. The exploration could be dice rolls mixed with small combat scenes like running into enemies on the road or small dungeon-esque houses/basements. I could see the graphics being simpler, something like if a Silent Hill was also Shadow of Chernobyl. Shit would be cash
Look up "Mist Survival". It's an indie game in development that is basically that. Build anywhere like in DayZ, gather a collective of survivors like State of Decay, and fend of hordes like 7 Days to Die. Fooster has a few videos for it, trying out the game at different benchmarks in its development.
Not quite the same but you might enjoy "Chernobylite". While often mistakenly compared to S.T.A.L.K.E.R., it's its own game with a blend of mechanics including extraction shooter, crafting survival, base building, team management, and culminates in a GTA V style heist, all sprinkled with subtle themes of cosmic horror.
If you want more survival then try looking up "Mist Survival".

That building that blew up at about 25:10 or so, when you were looking for that body you shot, was a scripted event. The guy’s chem lab exploded.

Also if you want mod reccomendations (Specifically for weapons) DegenerateDak has a bunch of really good vanilla-friendly weapon mods with levelled list intergration, most of them need munitions though.

When you say they require munitions, does this mean they add new ammo types?? Im trying to keep the ammo types down as sometimes weapons that have multiple ammo types dont work with NPC immersive ammo.

@@CowboobsYT Yep, Muitions adds back a bunch of the Ammo types from the previous fallout games, but from my experience most mods that use the same ammo in a different mod have a patch for it
@@CowboobsYT additionally, it only adds in the ammos that are used in the mods you've got installed. So if you don't have anything installed in 12.7mm, for example, it won't spawn. Highly recommend Dak's mods, and munitions as well.

Not sure what is and isn't possible in this modpack, but IMAGINE a power armoured opponent in this series. Luring them into a mine, hitting them with a high-caliber armour piercing round from something like a .50 cal? God. So cool.

I would recommend the "Scrap Everything" mod, would give you the ability to scrap trash piles and everything else. But be warned if you use it make sure you save before scraping things and make sure you read what is says you are scraping before you hit the scrap button, wouldnt want to scarp a road or building.
What was the song in the intro? Also the missing wrist thing happened to me when I had that pip pad mod and it is most likely conflicting armor or texture and it can be fixed by Uninstalling the pip pad mod.

You could built out the restaraunt on top with a bit of a 'thrown together home' feel if you wanted. Dunno the range on your modded Workshop lol. Or whether you want to fuss about with it for a neat build - dunno your style lol. Just thoughts for algorithm

Thanks! Im kinda liking the limited scrap available. Scavanging all the clipboards and yardsticks for walls if cool. Nornally everything would be scrappable but its because im using settle everywhere
I think if i removed the cover in the road, they would just rush up the stairs

Not sure what's causing it but having rolled back my game and installing the mods it doesn't exactly crash but it definitely freezes, doesn't stop responding but after I pick my special stats and everything it doesn't seem to load, any tips would be good!

Btw, think snipers don’t technically go for the head since the body is a bigger target. Unless one of the mods you installed makes it significantly harder to kill with body shots, i suggest aiming for the torso so you don’t miss your shots and hopefully get better kills. Can’t wait for part 2.

I'm a bit of a weirdo and only had pipe weapons and scrap stuff since imo after a couple hundred years most guns would be poop, and I'm not a small arms repairman .

I was thinking that, or spotlights. Spotlights i could have a switch, so if i think theres someone i can turn them on then.
Though i tend to sleep past the night. I do have a nice night vision mod with different features. They even require batteries.

I think you're going to be an okay sniper, you were using what i believe a snub-nosed revolver which if i remember correctly, has disadvantage on range, accuracy, and hip fire
It does, but I was also VERYYY rusty with any FPS. I've been editing and only playing Total War for a few months.
Dude, the barrel of that pistol is shorter than the bullets, of course it's going to miss.
I dont know why developers cant invent a tower defense game like this. At least I havent seen one thats close to this. I am a hugen fan of those genres getting combined: Horde-Looter-Shooter. Great work and interesting take of you and the modders.

It could be made into a mod.
You spawn into one of pre set locations for this kind of thing. A little gear and a bed to sleep in. Every so often people specifically attack you. Maybe a radio to call for a trader to come buy your loot in bulk to ship back to nuka world.
Hire raiders, which you put on posts etc.
I dont have the time to do this myself and learn modding. I need to get me in touch with a good modder.

When you play further in this playthrough, we can See how the experience turns out and how Long you'll be having fun with it. And how long you'll be able to survive without making longer journeys away from the nest.

Zombies should only have 20hp. They take reduced damage everywhere apart from head.

Using a snub nose revolver at a long range then saying “I can shoot for shit” is like using a rubber band to try and break the world’s longest sniper shot record, of course it’s going to fail, snub nose’s are inaccurate as shit 😂
This series looks amazing also I hate the pipe weapons iron sights it’s the most annoying this to look at

i've never used either out of fear of bricking something, but this series has made me want to give this a go as well.

@@CowboobsYT bit late addendum but after a bit of research and asking someone savvy with modding, it seems like the main difference is Conquest is more resource intensive because it actually functions as an inhabitable settlement for npcs and adds map markers, while Settle everywhere cannot do that because it doesn't alter chunks.
But also conquest uses older f4se code and hasn't been updated since 2016.. and is therefor finnicky to get working. (altho the most recent comment on the nexus says it still works after the next gen update + the removal of said update mod)
Been there, done that, just buy some sunflowers and other plants, trust me.

Landscape is a combination between a bunch. The traveling NPCs is NPCs Travel. Mod list in the description
