Woah, I hadn't noticed that intervallic motif. Awesome job guys! Things like that are so cool to hear throughout a song or album.

Hey everyone, i need your help. Even though i understand the words of this song, i dont really get the meaning of it. What are your interpretations or ideas ?

I’m in the same boat. There’s clearly a lot of religious symbolism and guns are mentioned. Maybe it’s about gun violence and the hypocrisy of religious people who support gun rights? If that’s the case, I don’t really care for the lyrics much just my personal opinion. The song is great though in terms of the sound and feel

Matthew Gammon After giving it some thought, I totally agree with you. I just got into Caligula’s Horse so I drastically underestimated their intelligence by assuming they were talking about something so topical. I’ve listened to the album In Contact and can definitely conclude that they tend to stray a bit away from topical mainstream narratives and hit you with pretty profound and deep lyrics. Listening to it again I definitely can see some of the themes you’re bringing up, and it totally explains the “Maria” part.

tooled68 Can you explain the name dropping of Maria? I don’t see any relevance.
