Jason, this is by far the best video I have seen for this camera. I am a 75-year-old grandmother, who is very involved with her grandchildren’s events and as I get older, it’s going to be hard to see their games in person. What I liked about this camera is it is not as complicated as the GoPro, which I absolutely hated. I will say the customer service and technical support for this camera is great. While it’s new to the arena I am hopeful for development of support to RTMPS For GameChanger, but for now, Facebook and RUclips will have to do. There is some zoom capability while it’s not much it’s better than nothing.
Thank you very much for your appreciation of the company's products. It supports GameChanger, but this requires logging into GameChanger to copy its streaming address and streaming code, and then pasting it into the custom RTMP streaming dialog box of EMEETSTREAM. The current operation is a bit complicated, and will be optimized in the future. I hope you have a happy life.
Jason, one of the better reviews. I have always used a logitech camera for my podcasting and always use Restream but I am looking for a camera to do more remote broadcast and this camera seems like the best option and gives me so many different options.
Hi Jason, I love the idea of this camera. My question is - is it possible to hook it up to a computer to use as the camera/microphone within a zoom meeting so I can also share my screen when needed? Or do you have a recommendation for the best way to stream that uses a nice quality camera/microphone but also have the option to switch to screen sharing of a power point presentation? Thanks!
Competition for the Mevo series! Very good price. Why would you want to mute the video portion of a stream? The menuing layout seems intuitive. Thank you Jason for the review.
1. If you are watching from a close distance, the sound from your phone or computer will be picked up by the STREAMCAM ONE's microphone, causing an echo effect at the venue. Mevo also has mute processing. Indeed, as Jason mentioned, during live broadcasts of games, if there are others nearby, they will simultaneously hear two voices: one from the field and one from your phone or computer, which can be quite strange. 2. When streaming to a live platform or recording, there is sound.
Jason, thank you so much for your in depth review. I’ve been looking for a camera to film my standup comedy with and would love to jump to a multi cam setup. I’m just so nervous about “being cheap” and going with the eMeet or jumping to the Mevo. I think the removable mic would be awesome but I keep seeing videos with latency on the mic. But thank you for the videos.
EMEET has been continuously optimizing its software and firmware, and you can contact their technical support if you have any problems after purchasing the product. Using a wireless microphone for picking up sound is an option.
I didnt see any testing for multi cam or hotspot or if you used it wireless or usb and if you used any pc or mac software only. It just helps to know thanks.
I look forward to testing this camera in more scenarios and exhausting its options in an upcoming video. And I’m waiting on the other units for the Multicam part. Thank you!
Years of software development will be hard to overcome. The package of camera + mic at this price point will be very attractive for a lot of folks starting out but Mevo is still the standard.
I noticed you started recording a baseball game, how does this camera work out for baseball? It's exactly what I am interested in... Thanks nice review.
So it’s going to do you a good job on infield views but doesn’t crop as well as the Mevo. Will you be streaming to SidelineHD or GameChanger? Or straight to social media?
@@JasonHoffmanYT I just read up on the lack of RTMPS on this as what I was actually leaning towards the DJI Action 4 but it doesnt have it either.. We use gamechanger so that would be best in long term. Thanks for responding!
90 degree field of view is going to catch a lot of your infield. Don’t know if it’s a software or hardware capability but the zoomed video is less quality than the Mevo. This is recorded to the control device, I haven’t compared as recordings or streaming results yet. I have a few videos planned for this one. thanks!
Yes, connects every time to hot spot mode (cellular option) on my iPad. Not so much on my iPhone. I’ve had this question once before and reported it to Emeet. They say the next update will have the fix.
I'm looking at the three camera setup for at the hockey rink for kids games. Im hoping to put one behind each net and one at center ice and run them off cell phone hotspot.... could these work or would the Mevo be better?
Mevo also has issues. The main thing is the distance between the device and the phone. If live streaming, it is recommended to be closer to the phone's hotspot.

My experience has been positive. It has changed rapidly in the month I’ve owned it. I’m on app version 1.1.4 and they released a firmware upgrade last night (will be testing later today). The bugs I’ve reported have been dealt with quickly. My use has been on iOS, what OS are you running it on?
@@JasonHoffmanYT Yes the android version is only 0.6.6. Hope they improve the development because it looks like a promising alternative for live streaming on the go. My OS is Android 12, running on a smartphone with 8 GB ram and octa-core processor.
I appreciate your videos. I’m trying to live stream a 300’ race. I have 3 Emeet cameras and would like one on the start line and one at the finish line. (With a spare if something happens). Is there a way to do a split screen between the 2 cameras?
@@JasonHoffmanYT use wifi, stream to facebook and RUclips, split screen, plug and play, I’ll be running the event so when i start the stream i cant babysit it much.
I think is pretty cool to have a new competitor to the mevo on the market, but they still have a really long way to go, first have to start upgrading the quality of the cam i saw the beginning of the video with the shot with the camera, and it definetly doesnt look great and the audio out of sync is definetly a major downfall of it, the mevo does have a mic internally and personally i have just used that before in really loud enviorements like full blown event outdoors with a loud enviorement by default, and it has worked really well, tbh even impressed with the quality of the mic besides a really loud stage and people making a ton of noise, sitll think its cool non the less but i think the mevo is stil the best option even when its a little more expensive
also a old cheap camcorder with a cheap capture card onto a computer does the trick well enough with features some of these cameras including the mevo might lack
The biggest issue I had with recording on this camera was in dropped frames. I reached out to them once I saw it and they released an update today (4 days after the video was made) to correct it. The audio out of sync was an editing mistake on my part as I separate audio from video when putting my videos together. Thanks for the comment!
@@JasonHoffmanYT awesome, it's good to know they dealt with it quickly for everyone, and I totally get you I've been there before, I have forgotten to sync audio many times before
Boasting an 8hr battery I’m guessing it’s full of lithium LOL. You can definitely tell where they decided to keep the price point below the competition.
Thank you once again sir. It seems to be pretty much a copy of the Mevo Multicam software, no? Other than the magnetic microphone, really seems the same other than the price. Kinda shocked that new players in this field aren't jumping in with a camera with optical zoom. I'm heavily invested ion Mevo, but always looking for upgrade alternatives and opportunities...at first glance, I don't think this it.
It is very similar. This one looks to have wanted to keep the cost below other options. The NearStream VM33 I reviewed last month had optical zoom and says NDI is on their roadmap.

Connected to the computer via a USB cable, ZOOM can read the video and microphone of this camera.

A quick mute is valuable when music starts playing if you are on a monetized stream. Baseball/softball games in particular. Thanks Bruce!

Hi Jason, a question: Does that camera accept also line level audio through 3.5 mm jack input?
I dont see a setting letting me choose mic/line but I’ll test it tomorrow.
Ok, so I used a line out of my sound board into the 3.5mm. The volume had to be adjusted quite a bit but it sounded great.
I just received my streamone and I can not connect to the camera when using the cellular option…Have you had any luck?
