Honestly the Mamemon seem like the perfect supporting characters for Digimon. You can put a village of rhem anywhere. And all the variations mean they can fill many roles.
@@harushukingseear7969 What what what?!?!?!?! I thought I was the mysterious Wiesend sage of that game for knowing about digivolving metal greymon into skull greymon with proper stat and life boosts. But THIS is new to me. Tell me more! How when whare??? *shakes you by the shoulders* HOOOOOOW??????
Some of the comments have already mentioned this but on top of echoing their statements I'd like to give some more clarification for things moving forward. Yes, the name is pronounced "ma-meh-mon" and not the English-style "maim-mon" if that makes sense. Japanese is a phonetic language where you pronounce the letters the same way you would in the alphabet, e.g. "me" isn't pronounced as "mi" but more like what English users spell as "meh." This means that for names that aren't translated to English, like how Mamemon here isn't translated into Beanmon, mame will be pronounced as "ma-me." When it IS translated into English though, then we use the usual English pronunciation rules, for example Vikemon isn't "vi-ke-mon" but "vaikmon," which incidentally is how it's spelled in Japanese too. Hope this helps!
I have a question for the teacher. Why do digimons have branch digivolutions to other digimons? I mean I always love the fact that if you try to digivolve Greymon wrong, you wouldn't get metalgreymon you would get skullgreymon. I love that fact But my question is why do some digimons digivolve into Champion or Ultimate or Omega forms of other digimons. Even though they're not related. The best example I can think of was from Digimon Data Squad early episodes, wear that red Thunder rabbit thingy that guards the Gigi eggs, digivolves into black garurumon? Or another example from Data Squad that pink bird Sora has, there's a pink one that evolves into the champion form of that other bird the second digesting kids have, that has cow horns and brown feathers
That's just how Digimon works. The franchise was spun off from Tamagotchi and the life stages became digivolutions. With the Adventure anime codifying the primary evolutionary lines. And introducing the Mega and Super Ultimate state. Also Aquilamon replaced Birdramon as Piyomon's champion. Sora's Piyomon evolves into a Birdramon because its too iconic. It's the same thing as Magnadramon and Ophanimon. Ophanimon didn't exist until Frontier so Gatomon evolved into Magnadramon instead. Same with Vikemon, as Gomamon's original Mega was Plesiumon.
@@aliastheabnormal Dang I didn't know that about birdramon RIP BIRD Also thanks, for the clear up. It just always felt weird playing the PlayStation 2, and getting to digivolve (fighting) Agumon... AKA, the one with the red gloves into old classic 90s chubby Greymon, instead of Geo Greymon.
I think Mamemon and it line are very interesting and I liked the Mamemon brothers role in that Digimon adventures 02 we’re they were just being a bit of Trouble makers and can you do Gotsumon line next.
Wish the Mame line had an actual Rookie. V-Elecmon is just an Elecmon. The Tyrannomon line kinda got Gaossmon not too long ago so it can plausibly get one as well
Have another question for the teacher. Why wasn't ken able to control skullgreymon? I do remember him later on replacing the dark collar for the dark friendship bracelet😅 So was it because control device at that time was too weak to control skullgreymon , but if that's so why when he gives him the dark friendship bracelet😅 why don't we get to see skullgreymon come back? I was happy seeing dark blue metalgreymon, but did he just give up trying to use skullgreymon and went for metalgreymon instead, or is skullgreymon mental state so corrupted it could not be controlled????? ALSO! Both skullgreymon and metalgreymon are ultimate level, so they should be equal, but still why???????
Skullgreymon has similarities to megidramon pure power and little control. Virus metalgreymon is just an evil metalgreymon which is a vicious but intelligent and controllable digimon
I always thought the correct way to say mamemon is “mah-may-mon” since the op cutscene in the english version of DW1 has the player char say metalmamemon like that. “maim-mon” sounds too weird imo lol
It should honestly be ma-me-mon rather than maim-mon because the first is how it would be pronounced in Japanese, and I don't believe its name is based on a transliteration of any loan words outside of Japan.
Honestly the Mamemon seem like the perfect supporting characters for Digimon. You can put a village of rhem anywhere. And all the variations mean they can fill many roles.
That would make a scary strong village 😂
I remember that in Digimon World 1 you could put a Mamemon through a process called "REMODELING" to turn it into a Metalmamemom.
yeah also you could do it in a different way that causes the process to fail and turn it into Giromon instead

mametyramon can digivolve into dinorexmon or spinomon, which are both carriers of the x-antibody
FINALLY THE MAMEMON! Requested it so long ago ;-;
I was so obsessed with this digimon amd the entire line as a young tamer, good show my mam good show.
I ALWAYS WANTED TO HAVE A MAMEMON THAT IS NAMED LIKE ME ENMA

IT CAN BE "THE KING OF HELL OF THE MAME DIGIMON"
That sounds like a badass Mamemon. You have a cool name too by the way.

I've definitely been saying ma me my whole life.
Same, and I don't plan to stop
I'm fairly sure it's said that way in the anime, too.
ma may mon is the correct
I took call him Mami Mon instead of mame mon
I pronounce it MAH-mae-mon too

@@austingomez9630 Like i said. It's a quirk of its origins. Tyrannomon was meant to be Agumon's main evolution. Until Greymon Pikachu'd the role.
@@austingomez9630 Also gloved Agumon is a variant of Agumon created for Digimon Savers. Savers also had a reworked Falcomon with reworked evolutions.

You are pronouncing mane correct, and literally translates to bean in Japanese.
