We did this tour and it was the highlight of our Alaskan Cruise!!! The dogs got so excited when their owners got the harnesses out to take us for a ride. They LOVE running. All the dogs were approachable and we got to hold all the puppies. Highly suggest this excursion!!!
Jaylynn Dora moment with 13 lol Loved how well spoken the trainer was about teaching with humor. I was hesitant about these cause I’m a dog lover but the instructor made it easier to view this with such admiration to the sport than “poor dog” I thought u was going to feel. Did they screen Jaylynn for any puppy contraband? lol BTW your editing is getting even better. Great job.
The trainer was really awesome! I wish we could show more of what he was saying on the trail, but it would have been too much, and the dogs were really excited at the first 2 stops, so it was hard to hear him. Also unfortunately Royal does screen for dogs at the security checkpoint, so she didn't make it too far lol. Also thank you so much, I've been really working on editing with this series.
My family and I went to the dog sled summer camp last week and it was AMAZING! We had booked the dog sled mushers camp well in advance of the cruise aboard the Ovation of the Seas, but when we got to our stateroom, there was a letter saying the excursion was cancelled by the tour operator. We had to go to the excursion desk to book the summer camp (luckily they had 8 spots for our family) and later on we were able to get a partial credit for the difference between the mushers camp and summer camp, but the summer camp was still $29/person more. Guest Services explained that the cost went up since we booked and that no one on board was authorized to give a credit above 20%. We didn't get to Juneau until after 1:30pm, so we think that was the reason why our excursion was cancelled. Having said that, we all LOVED the summer camp excursion. Our instructor was great, the dogs were great, and the ride exceeded our expectations. When we were there, it was warm and sunny out and we were in shorts and short sleeves. They had sprinklers on to keep the dogs cool. Overall, it was our favorite thing we did on the cruise. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Those dogs can run fast!! I would want to take one of those puppies home. Thank you for sharing!!
I wish we could take one... But the cruise line wouldn't let us bring them onboard.
