I was afraid to take that excursion too because of the helicopter. Thanks for sharing it. I’ve been on 4 Alaskan cruises and now I think I’ll have to take another to see those cute dogs and the glacier. Jen, I miss seeing you on your videos and Matt’s videos. Cool video!! I love how that tour guy on top of the glacier on all that snow was in short sleeves and everyone else was in long sleeves and sweatshirts.

That's my neck of the woods. 33 years in Juneau. I've watched Mendenhal Glacier melt at incredible fast pace. Soon this camp will be moved somewhere else

I dropped iPhone while dog sledding suddenly. Unfortunately The guide was not allowed me to pickup, and told me they would pick it up for me. But finally they failed to find it and I had to leave the camp. Now I am still waiting for their finding my phone!!!!!!

Frank, we once left our phone on a tour bus in St.Maarten, it took about 2 months but we did get the phone back. Carnival handled it all for us.

The tour provides you with the boots, but can you get ski poles to aid your balance? I am going at the end of June 2024 and really want to do this.

Hubby and I are booked to go Aug 2024, and we just booked this excursion! I read in the fine print about the weight charge... but couldn't find information about when/where to pay it. We are not tiny people, and 1 or both of us are likely to be at that 250 mark with coats and boots. Do they weigh you there and then you just swipe a cc? TY!

How long does each person get to lead the team? And, how did it work with a cruise -- were there a lot of people flying up at the same time? (Your video doesn't look too crowded)
Hi 👋 Tara, thanks for watching 👀. It is approximately a mile run with stops at each quarter mile. The sleds accommodate 4 adults so each person can get a turn at each position. The helicopters kept the people coming and going. We recommend booking this excursion as early as possible because it is limited and does sell out. We loved this adventure. We have a September 2025 princess cruised booked for Alaska. You think they’ll be enuf snow st that time for the sled ride? What time of year was this trip?
We did this excursion in May, but the excursion runs through the cruise season. You can check the excursion online once you book. I believe you will be able to do it, and love it too. Did you say Rain Forest? In Alaska?
Yes, it seems crazy but the Tongass National forest gets tons of rain (not snow) . You should visit there one day, it is a once in a lifetime experience. Thanks for watching
