Depends on usage bro, i use a cooling pad for my laptop and to be honest it doesn't make any huge differences in temperature.. at best maybe it will help reduce 2 or 3 degrees(in my case). But overall it might help extend your laptops life... If you keep your laptop stationary most of the time like me then its better to have a cooling pad than not having one at all
