What light would I need for one toadstool coral for a 55 gallon tank? I only want one coral @fishOffHex I have a paralyzed husband that I’m making a clownfish tank and I’m too old for the work of more than one coral lol
Just purchased two Gen 2 200 watt for my 5 foot 150 gallon tank.Lovin them, and the included mounts work on my eurobraced tank.Very impressed for the price. Will be getting the controller because i really like the ramp up and down feature.
Can’t wait to see the par and how the new control works. I got the gen 1 because of your reviews on them. They definitely going go on my 75 gallon and my 180 gallon
I look forward to the performance testing. I have a 48x48x24 tank. I'm running 8 T5s with two Reef Breeders 24 inch photons. I'm looking for an option to spread the par between the T5 banks.
I have 2 AI prime 16hd on my innovative marine 75g int. Would I be better off going to the new gen 2 200w..? Going with just 1...or staying with the primes..? Or going with 2 150w nicrew
@marinetechknj I still might still go with the gen1 150's... especially if the price drops ... hopefully he does a par test on the gen2 200... I have a feeling it's barely barely better than the gen1 150
Fun story.. had... key word had.. 3 aqua illumination 64hds... maybe on year three, one day come home and skimmer is going ape shit. Can't find anything wrong.. then I hear a sizzle sound.. two of the three lights had melted their lenses and were dripping hot melted plastic into the tank... they all had lenses on them fans running... no overheating nothing.. immediately threw all three in the garage. They went to live with the 6 nero5 pumps that broke from leaking internally
@OldBullRanch I like the 120-degree lenses on Generation 2. I've been running 120 degrees on my current lights for eight years now. I have them mounted low, and I don't get hot spots in the middle of the lights. If the price is much more than Generation 1's, then I might go for the newer orphek lights with the coast to coast led configuration. Again, the same way my current lights are. I thought about building another set or modifying my current ones and adding two quanta pro 60" bars. It costs more to build one than the gen 1 costs.
Absolutely nothing wrong with just sps corals and fewer acroporas some of my favorite corals are stylopora and montiporas and they are typically hardier than acropora

Is the remote separate? I have the old gen & wondered if the remote will work with the new one
I love my Quanta Pros ❤
Can you use any 3.5 to daisy chain gen 1 150 hyperreef
Do these also have the 0-10V port for dimming ?
I would also like to know this
I want to see if you get better coloration from these than the gen 1s. Did they change anything with the LED used or just lenses and style?
great review
which wattage would you recommend for a 55gallon bow front 36in wide x 18in deep x 22 inches tall to grow a bit of all types of corals

So, you selling those gen 1s?
I want to get some of those for my low boy frag tank
I bought the Gen 1 because of your review, now I want to try these on my new 180 sps tank, I cant find anyone who has them in stock
They aren't shipping until sometime in November.
Hopefully, power sources are better....i have 2 150s the power source went for a crap. Cost to replace them is $150...crazy
