Did you already test the new U2A? What do you think?

Like and Sub! I've been looking at it and drooling for a long time. I skipped last huge discount of PA that ended about a pair of days before but still I think of it, having scales of doubt shattered after your video to a side of purchase 😁

Thanks for taking the time to do this! The Lin2A def doesn't sound like the Teletronix I am used to, from what I can hear in that test. It sounds very midrangy in comparison it seems.
Also it seems that on the vocal the Hardware is louder (and UA quieter than the rest).
On the acoustic guitar it felt more even in terms of volume tho' :).
Usually to compare hardware and software (or even h/h or s/s) I use GainMatch by LetiMix. Makes the bypass smoother also.
    Thanks!

Hi! Well to be honest the vocals I used where a bit midrangy from the start 😆 I’m going to be more careful next time when choosing my audio examples. It’s my first comparison video and I’m still a bit overwhelmed with everything that’s going on 😆😆 but thanks for your input and I’ll definitely check out GainMatch. Thanks for watching 👍👍

@@ThatProMix Yeah they were indeed, with a looooot of room sound too haha, but I thought it wasn't your fault. I know it's not always easy to find material to review stuff without rights/authorization issues. No problem, have fun with GainMatch!

I prefer the Neold over them. The UAD just makes it sound smaller. The Lin2a sounded like it added too many low mids, and even some audible distortion in those low mids. Wasn’t a fan of anything except the Neold which didn’t make it sound smaller, and kept the top end in tact nicely

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Interesting point of view. I can see myself using them all, but it would be nice to compare them with the original la2a. Maybe universal audio sends me one 😆😆

I have the Golden Age Project 2A, the Plugin Alliance U2A, the IK Multimedia version of the white2A, the Steven Slate FGA-2A, Analog Obsession LaLa and the Waves CLA2A. I track my vocals with the Golden Age Project 2A hardware

Uad has mix percentage knob in center.
Use silver one, will sound better than this grey version.

My first impression are that the U2A sounds a little bit more dimensional. The UA sounds a little flatter than the other two. But from UA i like the Grey Version.
Thanks for the Test. I thinking about the Golden Age and the Lindell for my Recordings.

Maybe a new comparison with better recordings? In the vocal track there is an annoying 3k to 5k whistle all the time. The guitar is way to boxy for my taste. But Thank you, the three are all very near and in the old days any of the three would do the job.

Lin2A usually sounded best. U2A came in second, it has a nice 3D effect. The UAD sounds kinda flat and more 2 dimensional than the U2A. The picking was unpleasant on the UAD, it kinda hurt my ears. The U2A had the extra HF detail there but it still sounded pleasant to hear. The Lin2A maybe you want to bring a little more brightness to the picking could help to use a parallel mix blend.

Thanks for your input! Trying the Lin2a parallel it’s a great idea 👌👌

I do not like how that Lin2A aounds... it seems that the reason there's not much of a difference is because the hardware sounds like a digital plugin emulation and not vice versa.
