I have never been a fitness addict but I did lose 110 lbs after being about that much overweight since my late teens/early 20s (I was 38 when I finished losing the weight). These people in 10 or 20 years might be singing a different tune but humans are all about the short term so people often sacrifice long term for short term gain, whether it's not saving for retirement, overeating, or doing what these guys do.
Why do i love this channel? 1. It's honest and unbiased content 2. For educational purposes 3. No BS, just the unfiltered truth 4. This science will get you shredded in sports with knowledge.
The puzzling part about these guys ability to sell supplements to noobs is the fact that most of them don't even try to hide being on PEDs. Really appreciate your work, brother. I've had personal relationships with people who struggle with weight loss and muscle building, and they give up after taking a lot of supplements that are over priced and don't give clear instruction on what dosage is in what they are taking. They dont make them look like the people who advertised the supplements and it really dampens their drive to improve their fitness. Its either that or they feel they need it to improve and they have shelves of the stuff.

You're absolutely right James. About ten years ago when I first dipped my toes into working out, I fell into the buying all these different supplement bullshit. At the end of the day my diet was shit and I wasnt gaining anything. Now I'm actually eating and just taking creatine, and I've had the best gains of my life in about 4 months of working out. I know it won't last, but it shows how important the basics are, including diet and different ways of training. Like time under tension, supersets, etc. Do less reps, but make each one count. If you don't have the basics down, you won't gain shit.

none of these meatheads is going to see 55 yrs old. do what you want, but, this level of extreme muscle development, the amount of supps they are taking, their hearts are going to explode. i could never get to that size. nor would i ever attempt it.
One of my biochem lecturers did some investigation and a subsequent public lecture and various interviews on the fact that these supps often don't even contain what they say they contain - and that's before even looking at whether they do what they're claimed to do (they don't). Many come from China and have alarming levels of heavy metals and substances not listed on the pack, while being low or missing some of the substances listed.
