Just got the same intake with a k&n filter to go with it, I was also super confused by the complication of this airbox, it is obnoxious lol. Did you end up with any check engine lights? Thanks for the video, definitely helped me determine what I need to do to make this work!

The Celica's check engine light was already on due to something else, but I have yet to check for a new code. We did this mod at like 3:30 in the morning so I totally spaced, and forgot to check. I'll check today and let you know. Also thank you for watching the video!

Do you still have the celica? Could you make a video of how the throttle body air and coolant hoses are set up? I just did a 1zz swap on mine I need the reference haha

We are releasing a vid on Friday that spends a lot of time in the engine bay of the celica. It might show those hoses, but they are not the focus… have you checked any forums? I know there are several for this generation of celica!

You could have a vacuum leak. Have you checked for any ways air could get in through the intake that isn’t through the filter?

Hey man… it’s all about smiles per gallon here lol. We don’t actually care about shortening our quarter mile times (yet) 💪😂

@@gridengine This gentleman said it improved throttle response. He didn’t say improve power. More throttle response equals more fun anyways. Right on brother. 🤙

cant do much about a celica mk7's power tbh with standard mods. fun car but speed is somewhere else. sure you could push to 300hp with expensive fabrication but low end torque will still be kinda shit even with a supercharger. dont get me wrong i love this car but only if you accept it for what it is

Yeah. Without forced induction, these base models are kinda slow lol. Great for auto cross though.
