      Shearer was kicked relentlessly every single game. The fact that he took it and gave it back double time really makes opposition fans cry. The only time Shearer was truly dirty was the Neil Lennon incident and he got very lucky that day.

      John O Shea was legit man, he was just in a squad with Vidic, Evra, Ferdinand, Neville, even Valencia later on for O Sheas last 2 years at the club. John O Shea ALWAYS got the job done though, whether its The Champions League for United or coming in clutch for Ireland vs Germany with a last minute goal. Chap was an absolute unit

    Nicky Butt and Keane, feeding Scholes. Thats some impressive football. Butt so hard working and skillful. Keane, skillful but hard working. Scholes, just wonderfully skillful and also hardworking. Great midfield, all hard men, not much pace, but they were so intelligent you didn't need to be quick... leave it to the wide men.

    O'Shea could have played as a striker or attacking midfielder. That strike that hit the bar. Remember when he was scoring goals one season and never missed the target. Much more skillful player than you might think.

    Hated Shearer back in the day. But always admired how good he was. Maybe that was part of the reason why I hared him. Could have played for United but turn it down. His duels with Keane played a part. But man... what a striker he was, there is a reason why he is still the all time goalscorer in the Premier League.
