I like how James is jealous about Henry, but it's not because of his special coal. I also don't know why, but this story all of a sudden has gotten me thinking about how James would respond to the boys in Whistles and Sneezes dropping stones on him and his train.😂These 40th Anniversary stories are very well done!👍

    Excellent story!
I bet Percy is next. Would make sense, since Percy didn't get much of a story to himself in the first season outside of his introductory arc. Maybe one that gives a clear view of how Thomas and Percy became close friends.
And I also wonder if you can also do a season 2-style story that takes place after Thomas Comes to Breakfast before Daisy that explains what became of the cleaner that messed with Thomas' controls and Sir Topham Hatt also giving flak to the stationmaster for not putting strong, secure buffers in front of his house.

I feel James has more going to him that his only way of fending off against it is through vanity. He lives through his delusions to foreshadow who he truly is hence why he wishes to do things he knows he'll never get. At the end, when his true self shows, particularly after a mistake, he works hard to cover it up only to understand and work hard to make up for the mistake he made.
