I recently started working at the library at my university and it is SO chill. I'm literally being paid 12 dollars an hour for 10 hours a week doing homework at the front desk
When i was in college, i worked as what my university called a houseboy. Sorority houses literally paid me to come in and wash dishes for them. I got paid, got free food, and talked to girls all day. It was awesome.
Number one has to be front desk person at each dorm. They literally get paid to watch Netflix, read or do homework. The only thing they do is check guests in. They were useless when I told them I forgot my ID in my room onetime and other times I forgot my ID I simply walked pass them with no resistance
My problem is that I live in a small town and my college is 1.5 hours away. My flexibility is what seems to be holding me back from getting a job. I do online classes, but occasionally I have to go to campus for a proctored exam. Employers want 100% flexibility and I can only give 99%.
Unfortunately you don’t always get free housing as an RA.. my boyfriend did it and they give you the rate of the cheapest building/dorm on campus no matter what building you are an RA in... and then they placed him the cheapest building/dorm lol so no discount. And with all the hours he had to work compared to his pay it was less than minimum wage
Yeah it really does depend on the school you go to, but I wasn’t aware there are some schools where you don’t get free housing. Probably not worth it at that point.
This video has been very insightful. In a previous video, you mentioned the occupation of Data Analyst/Data Scientist. I may potentially switch from my previous major in Communication Science & Disorders (CSD) to Data Science or HIM. I was interested in CSD initially, but there are certain aspects that turned me off such as little to no room for advancement (unless you own your own practice, which I do not want to), low pay raises, and lack of work from home jobs to name a few of the factors. To clarify, you could work from home as a speech therapist, but you still have to live in the town or city of the employer to conduct patient evaluations. This did not bode well with me as I want to have the ability to work completely, or almost completely, from home. Could you cover the different occupations for holders of a graduate or undergraduate Data Science degree? If not, can you cover the best occupations that allow you to work completely, or almost from home? I believe these types of jobs ensure financial security and other benefits, especially during a pandemic.
@@IncomeOverOutcome Thanks for replying to my comment. I expect it to take time, especially since the process of making RUclips videos is time-consuming.
Once you start college become friends with your RA and ask them about the process specific to your school. Typically the university has an online portal to apply
It only takes a second to hit that like button to help my channel grow 🙂 what other videos do you all want on this channel?
Is an MBA worth it?
A more in-depth video on healthcare consulting because I think u said that's what you do?
