Air traffic control is a very stress heavy job, definitely not something that you can just "do right out of high school" all of the training mentioned for this takes years to complete and there are age limits to this career (if past like 29 you can't even get in the training) Not trying to discourage anyone though, this is a really important job; just find it odd to be mentioned as an alternative to college. Arguably this path is more challenging than a standard college degree.
When I researched about air traffic control job posting always says you should have a bachelors or come from air force. So I don't understand what having no degree or entry level is being an air traffic controler

Most these jobs are physically taxing, risks one's health/safety, diminishes one's health, no work-life-balance, or requires dexterity (good with hands). Good ideas.. Just not for everyone - just like college.

The worst thing about listening to millennials giving you life/work/financial tips is that they always make juvenile references to anime trading cards, comic book movies, or video games. My aunt was an accounts supervisor making 100k with out any degree. After she retired, they required a masters in buisness. Just cause you know someone that got a job 20 years ago without a degree doesn't mean you will now.
I did Air Traffic control for 9 months straight in Afghanistan and I’m an infantry guy, was real real hard at first but by the time I left I was teaching other people. Might be worth looking into again
Working in a utility company can make money too. You can work as a lineman, operator, maintenance man, electrical designer, relay tester, etc. No degrees needed.
I'm a truck driver making 100k and home daily so that's another route. But, I do work 65 hours a week and am in an industry that they're trying to automate. Which is why I'm personally looking for a change.
They have along way to go until it is fully automated. That's why alot of them are moving back to self driving cars instead of trucks. It's smart to make a change for the future but the public right now ain't having it
I've seen video of yard trucks and forklifts that are also fully automated. I think we have about another 10 years to go before life starts to get hopeless.
Getting your CDL is a great option if you like driving. Jobs and pay vary hugely and you can do whichever based on the work/life balance that you want.
@@jermainemyrn19 you can get b or a depending on what job you are wanting to do. B let’s you drive cement trucks, garbage trucks, busses and such. CDL A let’s you tow over 10,000 and drive semi trucks.

Insurance is a safe bet also. Just need to be 18, take a prelicense course, study & pass the test to get your license. And if you work for an agency they'll pay for you to get your license.
What Vincent leaves out about the construction management position is the immense stress. This is coming from someone who is on the design side. You'll typically notice a lot of turnover in the construction industry - that's not an accident. I find it's especially odd to suggest this after watching Vincent's videos about quitting the rat race of finance. A/E can have similarly bad hours, emails at all time of the night, and putting out fires constantly. I know he means well, but whew - Vincent clearly did not perform much diligence before including it in this list.
I’m a construction superintendent and let me tell you there’s a reason I’m watching videos like these. You’re absolutely correct when talking about the immense stress of the position/industry. We don’t get to hang it up at the end of a day or night. Weekends are almost unavoidable and don’t get me started on turnover.. Most people don’t want the stress if they’re not entirely invested in the culture that goes along with the job.
I mean... most of these are high pay/ high stress jobs. Whether it's the jack of all trades. Or being micromanaged but as long as the pay is in the right place MOST people will work through it. Because you know.. someone has to do these jobs not everyone can do minimal work for maximum pay. 😂😂
Alot of these require to work long hours, and plenty OT to reach that amount. Which it's possible, but hard. Most degree jobs are regular mon-fri salary. More time to enjoy life. So it's a tough one
I don't have a college degree. I make $40 an hour working on automated manufacturing equipment. I did not even go to trade school for this either. I studied for 6 to 8 months watching RUclips videos and placed as an A rate mechanic with no experience. I also own several rental properties and plan on retiring from my day job by the time im 40.
Almost every good paying job requires a lot of your time. Lawyers for example work just as much or more hours than the jobs listed as well as Dr's. If your questioning putting in the work needed you are not on the right track for achieving wealth. You have to have passion to achieve wealth.
I do commercial electrical and I can’t imagine doing line work. If you think construction people are rough they’re nothing compared to widebacks. I’ve seen linemen and utility types physically assault their apprentices for making the smallest mistakes or being too slow. The trades are extremely demoralizing and outside of line work or elevator constructors 80k is nowhere near the average pay unless you’re working 65 hour weeks. Stay in the office and A/C , it’s much better than destroying your body for 30/$hr at most and putting up with GCs, violent and drug addicted co workers and cheap ass business owners. The union side isn’t much better either barring a couple of halls in places like Seattle or Portland. I’m speaking from experience. If I could do it all over again I’d get the best office job without a degree I could or be a professional street pharmacist/ “money borrower”.
When he mentions stress about certain jobs, i have to say that stress is necessary to do a well paying job. Dont be scared, just be yourself and focus.

Just don’t forget that you are competing against someone who does have a degree, the other candidates may have all the skills you have and plus the degree. That’s why if you have the time, go to college, try to get scholarships, it’s important to have at least a certificate or associate.

Another great potential career that people can get into without a degree would be Sales. A lot of entry level positions do not require degrees and with the commission earned people can make 6figure incomes. Of course it isn't easy and it takes a lot of work and grind, but just like anything if you put in the effort to learn and use as many resources like training programs, books, etc then you can make a good to amazing salary.
If you’re pursuing software engineering or development, boot camps are worthwhile if you have a degree already. If you don’t have a degree, and haven’t been working with software personally, don’t go to a boot camp unless you’re pursuing web development. They’re similar in price to a CS degree online but hold a fraction of the value. I’m sure there’s people who can make it with just the boot camp, and great job to those who have, but it’s much less common than advertised. Remember, if it’s too good to be true it usually is. A 3-6 month boot camp won’t get you the 100k salary you think you’ll make. I’ve worked in big tech, DOD, commercial, and finance industries. I’ve NEVER worked with someone who went to a boot camp.

some of this could be misleading. while it is possible to get all of these jobs without a degree, some of them are very unlikely. Especially the IT related ones.
@@plurallove you dont need to be at the AF or degree. But you need to work for years before reaching 6 figures.

This is a perfect video for me. I grew up poor and don’t want to risk going into debt. Obviously if you want to make more than minimum wage, you need some sort of training.
Update us, then.
Most these jobs are physically taxing, risks one's health/safety, diminishes one's health, no work-life-balance, or requires dexterity (good with hands). Good ideas.. Just not for everyone - just like college.
if i’m not mistaken most job with a degree sound exactly like that , doctor , nurse , lawyer, engineer all the big ones have one more more characteristics u described , but i do understand that these jobs r simialr
Sounds too me that you don’t even wanna work…you just wanna make money sitting on your ass…which can be done but not by crying about it
TRUE! Thank you for your comment, I totally agree
Great vid for the youngsters. I never graduated high school. Always wanted to work. Most jobs in your life will be from who you know. Learn what you can, as much as you can. Make sure you at least like what you do. And go on to start your own company. I am a General Contractor. Best thing I ever did was apply for my license. Thx Vincent hope you and the fam are well.

The worst thing about listening to millennials giving you life/work/financial tips is that they always make juvenile references to anime trading cards, comic book movies, or video games. As if we're all still 14 yr olds and that's all we know as a point of knowledge reference to cope with all things in life. Can you guys please grow the phk up and behave like grown adults already?

My aunt was an accounts supervisor making 100k with out any degree. After she retired, they required a masters in buisness. Just cause you know someone that got a job 20 years ago without a degree doesn't mean you will now.
I did Air Traffic control for 9 months straight in Afghanistan and I’m an infantry guy, was real real hard at first but by the time I left I was teaching other people. Might be worth looking into again
None of these jobs speak to me :/
Working in a utility company can make money too.
They can t automate it in next 30 years don t worry
@NairaKa I'm thinking within 10 years it's going to be pretty common. They're doing a lot of testing in AZ.

Question for all you truck drivers out there… 21 years old right now, sadly got a dui for weed back when I was 16/17. Is there any chance for me to find a way into this field with this on my record?
Insurance is a safe bet also. Just need to be 18, take a prelicense course, study & pass the test to get your license. And if you work for an agency they'll pay for you to get your license.
Never heard this before , would insurance be something good to do for a while ?
Ah, working for the enemy. Certainly an option though.
I know he means well, but whew - Vincent clearly did not perform much diligence before including it in this list.
because he just googled all this information lol. There's no way one person has had in depth experience in all the fields he's going through.
@@evankukalis9940 currently a PE… can confirm these comments
I mean... most of these are high pay/ high stress jobs. Whether it's the jack of all trades. Or being micromanaged but as long as the pay is in the right place MOST people will work through it. Because you know.. someone has to do these jobs not everyone can do minimal work for maximum pay. 😂😂
Answering the phone wvenings, weekends, etc. Vendors calling to get paid cuz your boss doesn't pay.
Dear Aspiring Database Managers, Please know there is no difference between SEQUEL and SQL. Its the same thing just a matter of copyright. 😅
Alot of these require to work long hours, and plenty OT to reach that amount. Which it's possible, but hard. Most degree jobs are regular mon-fri salary. More time to enjoy life. So it's a tough one
Yup, truck driver hear with touch freight. Hard work but on track to hit 100k my first year. I love it tho
You have to have passion to achieve wealth.
henry; Not true.
@@charlesweaver9297 where do you start learning this? Can you recommend a couple of videos to watch?
If I could do it all over again I’d get the best office job without a degree I could or be a professional street pharmacist/ “money borrower”.
i thought about being a plumber but years of being an office worker, I don't think my body could do the work.
hey buddiee.. I am going to complete my undergrad as computer engineer , still i like watching your videos. Thank you for this motivating us !!
When he mentions stress about certain jobs, i have to say that stress is necessary to do a well paying job. Dont be scared, just be yourself and focus.
Yeah the only thing is that it will kill you down the road , high paying jobs have a form of chronic stress that will fuck you up.
@@karma_97_ i can agree you can't let the stress get ahead of you. You must be strong enough to maintain it, whatever your methods may be.

Programming requires extensive proof of personal work and projects that display your knowledge. Employers utilise your experience for their own purpose. If you are a programmer, know that its not a long term job, just until you gain the funds to start your own business with your skills and get it rolling.
some of this could be misleading. while it is possible to get all of these jobs without a degree, some of them are very unlikely. Especially the IT related ones. I am attempting to find a job in IT right now and I see so many postings requiring a bachelor's degree. the computer programming one and the cyber security one are some examples. ideally you can still manage to get into one of these types of jobs on a more entry level position with certifications however you may be beat out by people who have that bachelor's.
