Great.!.. I like both your channels. You're not too up your own bum (With huge subscribers) and not too far from me. You also have your own take on things which is great even if it's the same walk.

I really like Coggeshall. There was a house up for sale that had previously been a pub. Huge garden and a short walk into the village. I day dreamed about buying it.
Have been to the barn and it is impressive. We started our walk from there, going in the opposite direction to you. We found a little farm with llamas iirc.
We are fond of the 'WestStreetVineyard' restaurant. Sitting outside in the summer overlooking a small vineyard with great food and selection of wines (obviously).

thanks Lisa, good to hear from you again! I know, outrageous, I think I've been in there before a long time ago, didn't film, but I remember it being free! Or it could be another barn lol. Shame cos I wanted to film it for you guys, it's a cool place. cheers for watching. x

@@TOM_OUTDOORS Iirc you paid £10 to have access to Paycockes house and gardens as well as the barn. A lovely period house (in the village) and large garden worth a visit in the warmer months.
I think they do it to encourage people to buy a membership. Audley End is around £30. Remember, without the NT a lot of these old buildings would have been demolished. If you care about our heritage it's an organisation well worth supporting IMO.

@@user-jt1jv8vl9r yes I was a member of them last year with my girlfriend as well as members of English heritage. We cancelled our NT membership as we didn't really want to visit any of the sites that you normally have to pay to in. We tend to visit the free outdoor ones and dare I say sometimes wild camp in them. So we didn't need the membership as we weren't saving money. We're still English heritage members as we value the sites they look after and they cost money to get in. We found we have more EH places we'd like to visit than NT.

@@TOM_OUTDOORS Fair enough. We alternative our subs. One year NT and the other English Heritage to vary things a bit. Parents always paid for both regardless as they saw it as donating to a good cause. Thanks for the videos.

We visited the White Hart pub in Coggeshall on a Sunday and was told they could not serve alcohol until the sermon had finished in the local church! An old rule to discourage people from skipping church for the pub no doubt! 😆
White Hart in Braintree is also a lovely building with parts dating from 16th c.
