You're right about the color combo you can use in an outfit, let's point out that I wear a khaki pants, green t shirt, yellow sneakers and finally a white cap, that color palette works like a charm even though the sneakers and the hat doesn't match from back to back
That navy red cubs hat goes crazy. 🔥🔥I agree with you on complimenting the hat with the whole fit/sneaks vs matching all the time. If I have a super loud hat or shoe I'm going to let that specific item speak through the entire fit vs pairing it with something else loud.
While I agree that an outfit needs to have some matching, it can also be okay to have two contrasting colors just to make the outfit look casual. I wear a lot of my hats to work, but we have a uniform so I can't really combo my hats. But I still rock them no matter what

I was able to cop the Sweetheart Eagles and Campbell's Chunky Eagles as well. Might have to go back and cop that cereal Eagles too. 😂😂 As for the whole matching question I agree on not buying a pair of shoes just to match a hat and vice versa. I try to go with neutral colors all around so therefore everything works itself out. As for the question about is the hat game particularly fitted hat game dying out. I don't think so despite their being ba ton of hats sitting in various sites. It's just the nature of the beast where oversaturation and pricing driving certain factors as to whether hats sit or not as well as certain collectors own personal preference. I got the Toronto blue jays strong bird from the met pack. The blue wool crown with the rose gold stitching and peach under hits different!.

I try to wipe them down at the end of the week with a crown kleen wipe before putting them back in my hat duffle
