"Silurian: Age of Sea Scorpions" from The Ocean's "Phanerozoic I: Palaeozoic" album (2018).
These are some titles lol. First time listening to The Ocean, first time covering The Ocean. Obviously, the bassist plays most of the song with a pick but I just can't play that intro with a pick. I just can't do it. Oh yeah and that pattern is some 13/8 rhythm, but the drums stay in 4/4 the entire time. It looks confusing at first but honestly, that main intro riff is just a sequence of 13 notes. Once you realize that, it is super easy.
Some important information that nobody is going to read.
    Tuning: C-E-A-D
    Artist: The Ocean
    Bassist: Matthias Hägersand
    Album: Phanerozoic I: Palaeozoic (2018)
Song: SILURIAN: AGE OF SEA SCORPIONS
Bass: Warwick GPS Corvette 5A Ash

The Ocean are great! Saw them live, opening for Karnivool and the feel they give off is just awesome.

The Ocean are unfortunately a band that if you don't discover by accident, you will never know...

If you enjoyed this song, you should check out firmament from the album heliocentric. It’s a really fun song to play along to.

Time to pick it up again! Remember, it should be fun to play bass. Don't focus too much on practicing boring exercises

@@LeoBassCovers2 I kinda quit because of the band I was in, u know how it is sometimes as a bass player. They just didn't care, I came up with ideas, but they never looked at it. That's how I losty motivation. But it's back babyy

You should check out a song called "wenceslas" by a band called "gnome". Silly name but its a great song :) or a band called "TWRP" if you fancy something 80s ish ^^ not in wanting tabs way, just think the song/bands are great :)

Great playing as always 👍 oh, in your ‘important information that nobody is going to read’ section, you’ve put the bassist’s name as the album by accident (just so you know at least one person has read it 🤘).
