My 8 year old has the bounce. We love it.

Thank you for doing this comparison. Having used the Grabin Bounce for about 2 years I see the Fitbit Ace as the next logical step for a soon to be 10 year old. As other have mentioned the other watches dont offer the parental controls and if you're somebody who'd rather delay giving a kid a smartphone the Fitbit Ace wins. For anyone whos dealing with younger kids I suggest Garmin. But the ability to do a full phone call, and to actually know if the wrist is being worn really puts it over over the Garmin. A CNET article also mentioned a Google Pay feature that will roll at some point. So i would imagine you could put a $ limit on spending or at least setup some approval process. No more sending kids to activities with cash and hoping the come back with the correct change👍

Can you please clarify if watch requires a phone for both parent AND the child or just the parents phone???

Thanks for the video, I am really looking at this 2 devices for a smartwatch for my kid for communication and tracking purposes. The real issue to consider at my side is the call function which I don't like that the Garmin doesn't have it.
What about temperature when using the device? have your kids say anything? for example on a long back and forward conversation or call.
Another question, which one has less communication issues? like GPS refreshing or messages.
Garmin being a pioneer on smartwatches I am expecting to be better here.
    Thanks.

Great video! Remove your address on the screen of your phone when reviewing the Ace. Stay safe!

I personally prefer the way Apple Watch handles kid’s accounts
But you said the Apple Watch “leaves a lot to be desired” but didn’t go into detail

Yeah, it wasn’t a comparison with the Apple Watch. Though the Apple Watch offers a lot more than both of these watches, it really comes down to how much access you want your kids to have to things. These two Watches are Way more restrictive than an Apple Watch and some people might prefer that.

@@jeradtech tbh I like the Apple Watch because of my personal bias towards the way Apple builds products with the nice animations, haptics, software, etc
It’s all very pretty on the eyes from both the parent and child perspective
Also iMessage, findmy, Apple homekey integrations, and the rest of the ecosystem are much appreciated additions
Should those be the main things to look at? Probably not but that’s why I don’t have kids

The whole purpose of these devices is to be locked down. The video complains a lot about this. Its a positive to me.
