Child Servants are..WIERD...
Like, there is no such thing as a "Teenager Servant," and some of the "Child Servants" are teenagers, mostly Erice...but Servants like Elizabeth Bathory, who is 14, doesn't count.
EDIT: Chat was right, on Wiki, there is an amendmemt on Draco's page, like on Kama's where where Draco 1 is a Child.

Another oddity is that Ushiwakamaru gets passed over despite how old Japanese names worked. Meaning, she's at best about a year older than Elizabeth and Erice before becoming Minamoto-no-Yoshitsune, at least according to a bit of searching.
This is offset by her being pretty tall, and Ushi's still plenty popular, so yeah, do what y'all will.

@@misterhighflyer2973 If she's older than Liz, she probably doesn't count, same case as Fuuma who is 15 years old (said in the second Christmas Event) and doesn't count as a "Child Servant" too

So the logic for why servants are considered a "child" or not is because it's who the servant summer Illya considers a kid, hence why things are weird sometimes like how Sitonai is considered a "Child" servant because she is Illya so Illya thinks, "okay so that is me, I'm a kid so obviously she's a kid too" in that case Illya is wrong because while Prisma Illya is 10 years old Sitonai is based on Fate/Stay Night Illya who is 18 and thus an adult, basically if summer Illya would consider a servant a child they are a child based on her skill.
It's like how I believe Blackbeard's buff to women servants works on Astolfo, Blackbeard thinks Astolfo is a woman so it works.
Sitonai is both Illyas, she has lines about things that happen in Prisma Illya but is mainly FSN Illya.
@casteanpreswyn7528 I'm not seeing any dialogue of hers that would imply she's both Illyas, she references a wand and using magic sure, but those come from when you have Illya or Kuro in your Chaldea and thus are just her making a joke about them as if the master asked Sitonai if she was a magical girl. The other dialogue that seems kinda Prillya seeming is how she acts like she's the master's big sister for a dialogue but even Stay Night Illya did have a few scenes where she'd claim herself as the Onee-san, which is actually where Prillya's obsession with being the onee-san kinda comes from so Prillya's obsession with being older than Kuro is a reference to F/SN Illya.
So yeah I don't know which lines from Sitonai imply she is both F/SN Illya and FKL Illya... which lines specifically?

How could you say they’re not Child Servants, when they aren’t even playable! In that one it should have been who’s not the child, Okitan Summer being the only true answer!
Tecnically speaking the child trait in fgo is 2 situations: an actual child servant, or how explained in immaginary scramble their saint graphs are new so they are considered “””child””” in the sense their saint graph is well brand new or in a state of early development draco’s example is the second one cause her personality is well a not really child like in the slightest
Note about Anastasia: As Fate tends to go off of the legend and stories, there are plethora of stories that Anastasia survived, somehow. With that legend living on, its completely possible that Fate's Anastasia is augmented by that.

I'm pretty sure the child-trait is one part based on Ilya's perspective and one part on facts.
Erice acts a lot younger then Liz, hence the latter is considered one while Liz isn't despite being the same age.
Simular with Sitonai, despite being 18, she looks the same as Ilya herself, thus she would consider her to be of the same age as herself.
Asterios might be young, and just look older because he's a mythological being. Tho it might just because he has the mental age of a child.
Gogh seems to be solely based on Ilya's perception as she looks very young, as all 3 parts of her should be adults (Clytie's, Gogh and the plant god). Same goes with Draco and Kama's child forms alongside servants like Hans, they look too young to Ilya to be anything but a child, despite acting (and it Hans' case sounding) as adults.
The perception part might also work the other way, because Larva Tiamat's 1st 2 stages still acts very motherly hence she is not considered differently from her 3rd stage. (Not 100% for this one as I'm not a JP player.)

Interesting who is included in Marie Alter's voice line "Come here, lovely children. I won't hurt you... Truly." directed at children. Most are the expected underaged ones, even Nemo (though not having the child Servant trait) is not that surprising given their form. But Habertrot, Gareth, Summer Hokusai [Oui], Saika Magoichi, and Space Ishtar surprise me. Somehow Wandjina and Okita Alter fit, given how much they are like children learning about humans/being human.
Those left out are: Kid Gil, Kiyohime, Ibaraki-Douji, Alex, Hans [I totally get that], Wu Zetian (Assassin) [I totally get that], Asterios, Clythie van Gogh

So, to give context, the "child' trait comes from who Prillya PERCEIVES as a child, meaning that the "child" trait is only given to people PRILLYA thinks are children like herself
Ok, Kama is not all about physical/sexual attraction, that nowhere near covers all the aspects of love that she needs to deal with.
She not only has a child form for those types of people but for also the love a parent would have for a child, or one for a little sibling.
Remember love can just be platonic.

I did not realize a Pokemon artist did a Fate character. Honestly as someone who is a fan of both, Pokemon a little bit more since I've been with the series longer, I honestly love this. Yeah I'm confused as to why someone would hate that artist, it's good work and from what I've seen from the artist's Pokemon related works it's all really nice. And now knowing this I really got to go hard for that gift servant before the event ends.
Ibaraki might be the Child servant trait that i hate the most.
She is childlike,but i can't see her as a kid. Hell i can't even see her as a teenager.
Ibaraki just has childlike characteristics. Hell you could just say that is mostly because of her good hearted oni nature, so instead of violence she is a more silly yokai.
Given I'm more used to her Touhou incarnation (which is totally a Rider bc the animals) Banana Kid has always hit me wrong as well

Ironically, Fate's backstory for her is disturbingly dark to the point where, canonically, Ibaraki is an adult yokai with childlike tendencies due to a life of brutal parental abuse causing a mental regression. And yet she's used almost exclusively for comic relief.
The child trait is given to servants who PRILLYA thinks is a child, so it means jack since its a trait given to people a middleschooler thinks as someone her age

CAUse the trait is applied by illya which u know she might not understand if someone is a child or not cause prisma illya, illya being still a kid

So you got something a bit wrong, Draco Nero/Antichrist Nero/actually satan is counted as a child servant on ascension 1 and 2, and since you put her ascension 1 art, she's also part of the child gang
So to add onto Kama while she can take the form of whoever someone is attracted to she mainly changes into the child form to screw with people... Not literaly

To a lot of people that don’t know the child trait is actually divided in 2 sections: thoose servants that are actually children, and the second case which was explained via Van Gogh in immaginary scramble that their saint graph as an existence is brand new as such even if Van Gogh has the personality of someone older it still fits in the child servant category cause it counts on early development, one example is draco in which her saint graph is in an early stage of her evolution as beast as such is categorized as a child servant which well her personality is all but one of a child servant
