    THANK YOU for providing such amazing content/information about jade. There is such little information/RUclipsrs/Jewelers in my area/East Coast of Canada that have any knowledge about jade (VERY FEW). I've learned so much from you and PLEASE keep making JAde related videos!

    Random found a watery nephrite and it turns yellow and green! The monkeys was omg

      So glad you enjoyed the video! That’s a great question. I have never seen nephrite with enough translucency to be considered ice or water jade. While light can travel through the stone depending on the microstructure of the material and the way it’s cut, nephrite simply doesn’t have the same translucency or inner glow that jadeite jade has. However, nephrite jade can be opaque white, and this color of nephrite jade has been highly revered for millennia in China’s history.
