    In a real life situation, where its a time sensitive emergency (suspected heart attack, complete loss of consciousness etc…), would it be safe to cut their short cows tail once attached to the rescue ropes? Or would it cause too much of a shock load onto the rescue ropes?

    요구조자를 위한 backup 용 asap이 반대로 설치되었다.
    혹시 i'd의 문제로 추락한다면 요구조자는 그대로 바닦까지 추락합니다.

      You're wrong! As an IRATA assessor, Aid knows his stuff. When an ASAP is used in a lower-off situation, the arrow always points to the load, therefore when anchored above the load, the 'UP' arrow should point downwards. Perhaps you should get some IRATA training.

    If he's part way down and the asap has locked, anyone have a nice little trick to unlock it?

    • @SouperAsH
      @SouperAsH 6 лет назад +2

      Foot loop, to ascender. As you saw the rescuer do the initial lift to execute a pickoff from the cow's tail, he can do the exact same move, with the descent rope. Lift just enough to unlock the asap, which is right next to him, and then continue to lower.

    actually these videos are pretty bad. On this one you actually have decent audio, so you start by saying that we're going to tie two barrel knots, no mention of if these are stopper knots or anything, then apparently you attached carabiners to the barrel knots, no mention of that or anything about why you're doing what you're doing and what the overall plan is, so to someone learning it's an exercise in memorizing steps that are not even clear, which is the worst way to learn anything
