To the the cameraman: hey buddy, I know you probably don't get a lot of recognition so I just want to tell you that you are 50% of the fun from watching these videos.
It was a fun video mate! Quick suggestion: after each round is fired, use a marker to mark the spot so you don't get it mixed up when you have different rounds firing the same target. :)
When I joined the military, i was actually really surprised at how realistic Hollywood manages to recreate sounds of bullets ricocheting... We were target practicing at a beach, and almost every 10th shot made that classic movie "whoosh"
Just so you know, any safe with the hinges on the outside is not a “safe” it’s a paper storage box also called a “paper safe”! An old time locksmith taught me that!
These are fire safes indeed. Which protect mainly against fire and heat. A lot of these special fire safes have slightly thinner walls on the outside. There're even existing plastic ones of these. But also means they have to penetrate more material, like the filler and the inside box. So more material to slow down the bullet. So maybe all together it will have the same effect as shooting a decent regular anti-burgalry safe.
LOL - with only a FEW exceptions, pretty much ALL safe makers for the last 200 years have been making them with the hinges on the outside. Your "old time" locksmith had no clue what he was talking about! Just to clarify, hinges are NOT part of the security of the safe, the only purpose they serve is to hold the weight of the door when you swing it open. Manufacturers install inactive or locking bolt work on the hinge side to hold the door secure in the avent of a burglary attempt and the hinges ae cut.
Ah man I remember the BB gun bouncing off a full can. Then got a pellet gun and it could go through. Then pumping that pellet gun up 20 times (it was a 10 pump) and finding out it can go through a can, a wooden fence, and the car window behind the fence. Great day 😬 lmao

@@DJTAZ1996 Nop , 0 chance here Ricochet happens when the surface is to hard to penetrate or bulge, so the bullet will bounce back if not shattered, in here it's waaaaaaaaay easy for the bullet to pass through the 1st sheet ,after that it's done the bullet is inside the safe , not even 0.0000001 chance to ricochet, U saying it have a chance to ricochet is like saying the ice have a chance to melt in the freezer, there's just no way

@@santafenm100 idk what safe you have but lockpickinglawyer is really good at making videos like that and me might have a video on your safe and if not I believe there are places you can take it to get it professionally sawed open or something but that will cost money probably
What surprised me the most is the 9mm - considering the size, ammo capacity, controllability, and this shocking penetration test, it made every other round look pretty bad by comparison. The big bad 50BMG only got one safe father than grandma's concealed 9mm. Pfffff.
@@Taylormade2350 incorrect. When it comes to punch. It’s all about velocity. The 5.7 travels twice as fast as the 9. (2400fps vs 1400) Hitting close to the same force as a .45. Look up the ballistics. 5.7 is a massively underrated round. Our special forces uses them as well.

Love the video (and Demoranch videos too!) next time (please let there be a next time!) use one of those kind of neon paint markers to mark the rounds so you can tell which ones they are, for new shots coming through! just a suggestion, I've seen it done in some range/shoot up cars before :) Thanks for all you do!
