Angled armor was very important in the development of armors. In WW2 it was what kept the tanks going a lot longer. May seem like a basic thing but it's actually very effective.

@@jaster030 isn't it the jacket of the bullet that comes back at you thought that is what happened to the guy that loses his earmuffs to a 50bmg ricochet
@陶玉龙 .50 BMG isn't a weapon it's a cartridge. It's a .50 calibre round which is used by anti material rifles or mounted machine guns. It's freaking powerful. BMG stands for Browning machine gun. The cartridge is named that way because it was developed for the M2 browning machine gun. ;)
I always liked the SCAR and wanted one but ended up with the FNAR with the hammered bull barrel in .308 and the accuracy is out of this world leaving the SCAR in the dust. Just showed me that looks aren’t always the main consideration. FN made the best production rifle in their lineup with this.
Wow haven't seen your videos in a long long time. Just watched a 5 year old video with ricochets that would turn my bladder inside out. You're still alive man, had to see it for myself. Keep going on and surviving those gnarly situations
Loved the video. God bless you two men and your gracious grandfather. Maybe try 3/8 inch steel it's in-between 1/4 and 1/2 . I'd also be curious what normal plates secured at an angle would do.
I would love to see this in action, Imagine seeing an absolute juggernaut running at you so you shoot it with a heavy caliber rifle and it simply bounces off and they keep running
Keep in mind in WW2 angled armor became a big game changer for tanks. It may seem very simple minded but it's actually very effective and limited the weak spots in tanks. It's interesting how firearms and military vehicles can make the most bizarre ideas and builds work. Like the PPSH when you take it apart you really wonder how they managed to get it to work as it's just so basic and yet one of the most effective guns of its time.

@陶玉龙 It's sloped body armour which is kept front of the propane tank.
停在坦克前面的单桅帆船是不朽的。它的设计方式是在枪的子弹击中它之后,它会朝着它移动。

(It´s a cheap way to not spent 10k on real body armor i suppose) this is just me guessing tho

wear that for a week and when you take it off youll be able to move at the speed of sound
