I have always seen Jennifer as an American Treasure…she writes warm beautiful songs and has the ability to pour her humanity into her vocal and instill that warmth in the listener. Working side by side with her we produced The Well and I was honestly in heaven just having her sitting next to me and singing. Martin Davich
Jennifer Warnes at her very best. Jennifer is the most under-rater singer of all time. Just listen to Famous Blue Raincoat and The Hunter CD"s and then you will agree. Tony...Jennifer's sincerest fan!
I just made a blackberry pie listening to this song in a mix CD I made of Jennifer's work. She is my favorite female vocalist and so glad I got to see her sing six years ago. She always stirs, calms and lifts my spirit.
Jennifer's albums are 10s ... what a voice! The arrangements, audio quality, care of each song she performs is magical. The Hunter is in my top 10 albums of all time ... and I'm very much a music nut. I had no idea about this video! Thanks!
Shot thru the Heart, Famous Blue Raincoat & The Hunter are my favs. I've loved Jennifer Warnes voice from the first time I heard it in the 1980s. In my top 5 vocalists along with Karen Carpenter, Karen Matheson, Eva Cassidy & Judith Durham
When I first saw Jennifer preform this live I was so overcome with the beautiful simplicity of it. That was one of the most profound experiences of my life. I saw her do it a Macabes a couple of years ago and it had lost none of the magic. The ability to create at that high a level is life changing. That is ART.
Another Great Talent that got screwed-up by the greedy record companies who don't give a shit about music, or how they treat Great Talents like Jennifer Warnes.
I am enjoying this tonight during the rainstorm two years later and sadly, my dad is gone but I am sharing this with him in heaven and my mum in my thoughts and heart.
Such a lovely song, lovely voice. Jennifer, when will you release another album? Saw you at McCabe's a few years ago and I'd love to hear those songs again.
Could someone who has her 1976 signature arista album, who loves it as much as I do, please upload the whole thing. I especially miss hearing Don't Lead Me On, and Mama. Also Oh God of Loveliness. Please, please, please!!!
I absolutely adore Jennifer Warnes! Her voice is so precious and melodic. I think she's one of the best of our era. I really mean that.
You aren't alone!
agreed.
Well, said. One of the most unappreciated and beautiful singing voices of all time.
This little lady has left big footprints all over music in this century!

Jennifer deine Songs sind Balsam für meine Seele. Danke!
Jennifer Warnes at her very best. Jennifer is the most under-rater singer of all time. Just listen to Famous Blue Raincoat and The Hunter CD"s and then you will agree.

I personally think Famous Blue Raincoat is her best.
Agreed.
I hope Ms. Warnes has as much joy in her life as she has brought to me.
One of the loveliest songs I have ever heard-and beautifully sung, as you'd expect, from this wonderful singer. Been a fan forever.
She is great. I remember a record of hers back at an old Army Camp when I was just 18 Years old.
Love the album she did with John Cale producing it.
She has the sweetest voice no matter what she's singing...
A gorgeous song sung by one of the finest female voices to come out of the USA in the last forty years.
This has to be the sweetest voice ever!

Tribute
Good music does not need shining lights, odd dressings, or many dancers. When you close your eyes, you feel peace.
sings and looks great. For sure, we need to change the radar. Goodness, she is one month younger than me. God bless us all !

I absolutely love this song. And the video quality is better than you'd expect for being 19 years old.
This is from her 1992 album The Hunter and it's gorgeous. Thanks for the video - what a treat.

Rapture, oh sweet rapture. Bliss holds me in it's embrace. I have always adored every note Jennifer sang, since her Leonard Cohen album.
Gosh. Perfect control and range.
Another Great Talent that got screwed-up by the greedy record companies who don't give a shit about music,

The night of Proms with Joe Cocker is just outstanding. Joan of Ark is WONDERFUL!!!!
Lovely accordion playing to go with a beautiful voice...What natural and normal thoughts sung so prettily... Love
I am enjoying this tonight during the rainstorm two years later and sadly, my dad is gone but I am sharing this with him in heaven and my mum in my thoughts and heart.
Lovely song, deep love to life
Magical ... !
Still great as ever !
One of my favorite songs by my favorite singer.
Greatest Album ever produced ... " The Hunter" ... !?
Maybe this night maybe you will show what you hide behind your bow. From memory but...what a brilliant album.
A wonderful voice - fell in love with it since coming across The Hunter some years ago
Jennifer has a Rolls Royce Voice!!!

How about goodness!
I'm in love.
Listen to her. Listen to today's rap! Which one is music??? Bring back the signers who carried a tune and had lyrics!
THIS VERSION SOUNDS MORE COUNTRY THAN FOLK, BUT I DO LIKE IT VERY MUCH.
Could someone who has her 1976 signature arista album, who loves it as much as I do, please upload the whole thing. I especially miss hearing Don't Lead Me On, and Mama. Also Oh God of Loveliness. Please, please, please!!!
Please tell me again!
Pure ... beauty, maybe ! ?
love this song. Nowadays, music is dying.
There's two pop singers I'm just totally in love with....Jennifer and Judith Durham of the Seekers. Make it 3....Karla Bonoff..
Outstanding! Do you have any idea where or when this was recorded? Thanks for sharing this gem.
How did this little sweetheart slip under the radar?
i love you
Sweet song but she is singing how women are. It's a Deep and true song
trying to sing along with this; keep filling up. Whats that all about?
Through the eyes of a lion.
This girl could sing the phone directory and make it sound wonderful! Peerless, no voice I would rather listen to.
i wist Shell sound make new stuff
Was this an appearance on "The Tonight Show?"
TheSparx&TheSpirx
13 people have put a thumbs down to this. They must need hearing aids I guess
