- We have some leftover grilled chicken breast, so Andy is making a quick chicken bowl with spiced rice and a squash, radish and long bean salad. And Katelyn is drinking a fresh white from Tasmania.

You guys are so easy to watch, its just like hanging out with friends.
Facts.
We love that, thank you!
True
"I don't use a guard."
Andy... you said you lost it! 😄
I kinda felt betrayed.. xD
I have this playing on my second monitor so I feel like I still have friends.
online friends are still friends 😊
Ahhh. Great way to end my week with some relaxing Back of House content. Currently trying out one of Andy's cooks at the moment whilst watching this. Pulled Beef tostadas tonight!
Delicious!
I'm from Brazil and feel really happy hearing you talking about some very popular fruits we have here: Jabuticaba is very common here, Acerola can be found in most houses with a garden. Grumichama is less common.
This is such a good format of video Andy. 12/10 would watch again.
thank you!
as someone whos just started meal prepping my weeks Lunches, im discovering my favourite protein, i think beef has been my favourite so far. keep up the content, its a awesome way to wind down eating dinner on a sunday
Another fabulous episode! Love these Sunday evening treats!
As a former commercial cook however… please use the mandolin guard Chef Andy! 😭
Lovely to see you showcasing a Tassie wine with the true special ingredient of island living. Connection.
Andy. Just buy a glove to use when slicing on your mandolin. I've got 3. Just throw in the laundry. No shredded fingers.
i love all the setups you guys have from the coffee machines to the mugs. it's such a home:))) Andy you're the best.
Great answers on the protein👌👌
good to see you guys again. always great!!🤩♥
Pork is hands down my favorite protein. Can’t go past crispy skin roast. thank you both for these videos they are so entertaining to watch
We're so excited to try them once they fruit!
Been watching Andy's videos for a while now, only just stumbled across this channel today, really enjoyed it
Favorite protein: Big juicy fatty ribeye for home cooking. Prime rib when eating out only because it’s hard to buy a small prime ribeye for 2. I do favor making prime rib (with the bone) when I’m feeding more people.
I have a question for next time - When you're planning out your content, how do you decide which videos are best for TikTok vs RUclips? Thanks!
I love these chill vibes🧡
I've never been so pleased to hear Andy say "Microwave" in that styling.
Definately chicken as my favourite protein it’s so versatile with flavours and cooking etc
Favorite protein in the summer is swordfish on our pellet grill and when on sale lobster which we’ll buy 4 using 2 as boiled with native corn on the cob and fresh from the garden salad. The other 2 are used for lobster risotto.
Hello Andy & Kaitlyn…..always a beautiful thing to watch this on Sunday mornings!❤️❤️a great way to show how to reinvent leftovers!👌👌favorite protein is chicken thighs🤗🤗
Andy and Katlyn, great video, love this informal style. Peace and ❤
Chicken is the most tasty, most versatile, easiest to use protein.
Another lovely Sunday vid - thank you, both. My favourite protein? I'd prefer to answer the question "what would you pick if it was the only thing you could have for the rest of your life?". Which is Chicken, specifically chicken thighs. Do I prefer something like lamb chops, for example (when I have them)? Yes, I do. Could I imagine eating lamb chops for the rest of my life at the expense of fried chicken, chicken balti, chicken casserole, chicken adobo etc etc? No, thank you.
Love These
What a great relaxing show. A bit of chopping, nice sounding dressing, a glass of wine. So simple! I'm off to buy (another) cheap rice cooker in the morning. BTW, the set lighting seems to be spot-on now. :)
Favorite Protein: Cooked - Beef Short Ribs, raw - Kumamoto Oysters
You’re both looking great guys! C, do you have a moisturising preference? Your skin is great xx
Might be a wee bit controversial regarding fav protein, but I favour legumes. Fish is second, pork third, beef is fourth, chicken fifth and then lamb.
However give me duck and I'll do cartwheels.
I love this new format, very chilled and entertaining. About the beans, I thought they are one of the few veggies you mustn't eat raw, cause they have small amount of some toxins?
Cheers from Germany❤
I've had my zojirushi rice cooker for like 15 years. I replaced the bowl once because it got scratched. Other than that, it's been great.
Zojirushi rice cookers rock! No muss no fuss.
“Calories vs calories out” then proceeds to smash back a bunch of biscuits before a meal 😂 Mallowpuffs are god-tier biscuits though! I’d smash that whole packet easily.
PS: favourite protein is Pāua 🙌🏾
Thank you thank you THANK YOU!!! For using my Garlic and Eschallot Vinaigrette!! That salad is very pretty and looks delicious!! Actually everything looks delicious. And yes, Mallowpuffs are ELITE!!
We love it! and all your products ❤️
thx
I’m pretty basic (Mitch) chicken is by far my favorite protein
Fav protein - beef
Good one. Favourite Protein is Venison / Kangaroo interchangeably
I always get nervous when Andy uses the mandoline without a guard 😂 Those bowls are beautiful and the meal looked excellent!
Love Tic Toc bickies :). I can't believe they are going to be discontinued along with tons of other great stuff!
They're iconic
Chef "Mike" on duty :D
Favorite protein would have be poached eggs with smoked Salmon and wilted spinach on lightly toasted focaccia.
i have a favorite protein and it's steaks/beef. particularly a Ribeye or like a good cut of top loin steak or when my mom cooks lamb in a mansaf or bamya. but i'm with Katelyn about fish i mean i have a favorite fish. it's the branzino fish. omg it's so good. especially stuffed with herbs like parsley, lemon, onion and tomato. with the juices dripping in a good rice on the side.
but we are talking about protein, so yea: it's steaks/beef and branzino fish.
All time favourite protein is musk ox 🤤 minced, steak, roast all good 👌
My favourite protein is crab (specifically blue crab). Btw just found this channel, love the atmosphere!!
Dude, please use the guard on the mandolin. I can't watch this.
He lost it
My favorite protein is fresh venison.
Your salad looks delicious, love a good crunchy salad & turmeric rice. Favourite protein would be mud crab (most seafood really, hard to pick only one) then 2nd, chicken tenderloins & breast.
try chocolate royalscame in pink marshmallows and white ones .....pink was my favourite ....Joanne
mashed peas and irish stew. martabak manis
My favorite protein: salmon.
I got some of that Saucy wench because of this video. Saw on the label that it's great on roast pork belly, so just did that over coals! And can confirm it's good drizzled over pork belly! 😋
I have to go with Andy on the Angus Beef.
What? Is Andy a little pissy tonight? Nice that he is surrounded by good people.
Hi, James Beard, the late American food writer and chef once said, 'a gourmet who counts calories is like a tart who looks at her watch! Just saying 😉
😆
My wine blows the calorie bank 🤭
oh that's good Katelyn, it's great you cooked. did you enjoy it!?! we love buckwheat here (well i do) but not in pancake cause i didn't try it. but if you cook buckwheat in a rice cooker and add butter and MSG it's the best thing on the planet. literally could eat it all day. my friend introduced me to it and it's the best thing i've discovered in food. it's like "healthy" too. even with the butter it's still not as bad for you, which i'm happy i get to enjoy buckwheat like that in it being so healthy itself. it's fibrous and i think the butter kind of adds like a healthy fat to it.
Fav protein is beef
And again, came for the food, stayed for the vibes ^^
My fav non vegan protein would be salmon
And my fav vegan protein would be cashews
I think my favorite protein is chicken thighs. Hard to screw up.
Can you show us your knife sharpening routine? What tool do u use that sets the right angle?
Tic Toc is also my fav crappy biscuit, so I was a bit panicked there, but I can see it still for sale on the Arnott's website, so all is still good in the world haha
Another great video. Got to be beef for me too. Chicken and lamb tied second I reckon.
Your white espresso and mug cups on top of the Zoccy…where did you get them? I smashed mine and didn’t clock the brand or store.
My one protien for the rest of my life is beef - specifically a perfect medium rare reverse seared rib eye / scotch fillet
Favourite protein: duck or prawns.
Spicy little tip for those of us that don't like using guards on a mandoline - use what's left of the first thing you slice so you only risk your fingers once and have less wastage on everything following.
Also, Tick Tock biscuits are the father of all biscuits.
Mallow puffs rule although Tim tams are awesome
That portion size is huge! But looks great. Thanks for posting these videos.
My fave protein is also fish! Beef is too dense, makes me too full. Next fave is lamb.
My cheap rice cooker did not do brown rice well at all. Love my basmati but occasionally want brown. Just bought the one you have on your counter. Feedback will be coming. 😃
Mean Maori love your cooking videos NZ
Chickybreast for sure! Cooked correctly its great, and soooo many options with it. Love it.
My favorite protein is sockeye salmon or sablefish.
👍👌💯❤️
I’m glad you don’t focus on weight loss and calories with the channel. I’ve got a history of ED and appreciate the more wholistic focus on food tasty and nourishing kai
What's the difference between "Marinade" and "Marinate"..? LOVE the Back of the House videos. You two are just a delight. Best wishes, ~Ray
Parts of speech. Marinade is a noun and marinate is a verb. You use a marinade to marinate your food
I think the best bickies are Wagon Wheels. Or Arnotts Gaity. Or Arnotts Spicy Fruit Rolls.
ugh me and my dog are straight chillin and lovin😩♥ i thought something was wrong so we took him to the vet and he's fine, super okay!! we just got back from a chill ass walk in the night and he's good to go and ready to sleep and relax and so am i. ugh he's my world. i love him so so much my boy!!!!! i've had an upset stomach but i'd die and not have something happen to him. literally die like RIP lmaoooo like y'all would be like damn where she at LOL. i love him tooooo much.

Yum!
0:23 10 miles in American measurements
those are cute biscuits. too bad i'm not Aussie to talk about biscuits (sad) lol but the biscuits look like little macaroons. they look tasty.
I love fish but I’d have to say chicken because it’s so versatile. Okay, forget it, I love food, how’s that?
Favourite protein: Chicken thighs 👍 So versatile
Are these videos live streamed? If so, where can we tune in live? Thanks!
Not currently, maybe one day
Happy King’s Birthday weekend! My favourite protein would probably be beef… hard to beat its versatility and beef birria is elite tier…
If you both could design your perfect three course meal for a dinner party, what would it be?
Just curious! What is on or under the rest of that black glass cooktop! Is it a combo, electric plus one gas burner? Or something else! So unique!
protein, beef steak or a morteon bay bug
Beef. But only as my favorite. IF I had to choose 1 to eat for the rest of my life, it would probably be chicken.
I wanted to hear more about the fitness stuff. Foods very relevant to that. Maybe you could explore that in the future a bit.
Hi guys good to see you 😊
Hello, good to have you here 😊
Darn, thought there’d be a link to the Saucy Wench condiment.
Great vid & recipe!
Sunday morn ritual 😊
Favorite protein....... Chicken, for its versatility.
Question for you. What's a regular easy dinner on rotation for you?
Thanks forkeeping 'Back of House' up and going 😊
so Katelyn ik you love wine but what was it like when you first drank it. did you always love it even the first couple of times or was it something you had to get used to to appreciate if ykw i mean. what was the wine that changed your mind about all wines, and how do you feel about other alcohol like cocktails, spirits, beers etc and what are your top wines? you are like a wine god connoisseur and i just love it!!
Hello from Seattle ❤️
Hello!
favorite protein, eggs. second, babies. they're so easy to catch
Hearing Aussie brands always makes me wonder what time frame everything is in. I know IGA and Kmart are still current brands where you are, but IGA in the US has been gone since I was a kid (late 1980s, maybe 1990s?), and most Kmarts have been closed in favor of Walmart since around 2000.
Such an interesting world where brands that I grew up with in the US are gone, but live on elsewhere!
Kmart is still big here, target and big w are here too but there’s less of them. IGA is sorta the third-wheeler to the Coles & Woolies duopoly
@@superthevibe same with Woolworth’s! I remember shopping there as a kid, but they all disappeared for Macy’s, Kohl’s, JC Penney, and other US brands. If I read this right, does ‘Woolies’ sell food in Australia? They were only a home/clothing department store where I was. Similar to how ‘Big W’ (Walmart?) and Target sell just about everything now in the states. Thanks!!
Edit: clarify Targét + Wally World.
@@dotcom624 yep Woolies (short for Woolworths) is a major supermarket here. Used to be called Safeway originally. Target/Kmart & Big W do homewares, linen etc, and Big W also sells things like chocolates, lollies, some cleaning products like detergent as well
Paua for favourite protein
Yum!
Fish! all the way
Ah yes, the mandolin experiment. Lost a piece of my thumb using it, and after going to Emergency to get it stiched up, came home to finish a nice salad with some extra protein. Now i use the guard. LOL.
Maybe I should buy Andy another guard
Tunnocks tea cakes from Scotland is what you need! No cheap chocolate in that brand! 😊
If I come across them in Aus, I will give them a try :)
