Just watched a well cut and produced video about cotton candy machines and this video is far more informative despite the lack of RUclips bells and whistles. Well done and thank you
I just ordered the Carnival King. I own some of their other concession appliances so I went that route. I will use it only for family so it was perfect size and price. I ordered the bubble for it as well.
Just got the Carnival King 21" for our Band Boosters for our High School...spent yesterday trying to make some, and made about 20 cones. The done is a necessity...now just learn how to bag it as cotton candy sticks to the gloves.
@@spunparadise8823 we’re in Pa so it CAN be humid. We’re trying to prepackage a few bags prior to a game but need to find a way to store them without them melting away. We settled on the Venom nitrile gloves from Lowe’s…
Hey, I just bought the vevor, it looks like the middle model. I used it once, it worked. Now im using it for the second time and there were sparks where the carbon brush hits the copper spinner. It's just on one of the nobs. Have you experienced this? And do you know how I can fix this?
@RabbitOfAutumn well, both the manufacturer and Amazon store I bought it from have been no help and I am still waiting for replies from them. I joined a cotton candy making FB group, asked there, and got an answer within a few days. Plus, this channel isn't a random vlogger. She has/had her own cotton candy making company. I've seen videos here of them showing how to take apart the machine to do deep cleans.
Ive learned a lot from your uploads and you basically sold me on the Vivo because of the noise factor and the ability to change flavors on the fly. I would like to do 4th of July with Red, white and blue colors/flavors and 3 having multiple machines for backup and to use simultaneous would be advantageous. I'm gonna need a break after an hour anyway. Your sugar flavors have me VERY interested in your floss so you will likely hear from me again! Thanks!
Hi! I have a cotton candy cart business (Cotton Sugar Co.) that I started last year and it’s been a huge success (thanks for all of the info you’ve shared to help me get started)! I’ve been using a vivo or equivalent (I have 3 that I switch between) and I’m having a hard time keeping up with my larger events. It’s very important to me to be able to switch flavors between each spin bc I offer multiple flavors at my events and spin to order. But the vivo isn’t producing fast enough, I have to switch out every hour or two and wait for it to heat, and it gets clogged despite cleaning after each event - kids in line last night at a homecoming dance waited over an hour. Do you have any reccs for a faster producing, higher quality machine that I can switch flavors between each puff? I feel like it goes from vivo straight to the giant mass-producing machines and I haven’t been able to find an in between. Thank you!!
Hi, new to cotton Candy. Our first event will be a large festival for 5 days. I want to offer 3 -5 flavors. So I’m thinking of the vivo machines and getting three of them so I can have one as a back up when I need to clean them rotate,. What are your thoughts?
Yes, I think three on site is a good idea. Depending on the use each day, you will need to probably do a deep clean on the machines as well. That is a long festival for Vivo machines. When you rotate and clean, be sure you take the top plate off and clean it and replace, not just spinning water through it while running. Hope that makes sense!
Love your content :) Have you ever used or have any opinion on the Olde Midway Commercial Quality Cotton Candy Machine and Electric Candy Floss Maker - SPIN 2000? Thanks in advance!
I am not too familiar with Paragon machines, but it if there are little leather straps that stick out the sides of the top of the head like a Gold Medal, you need to bend the leather straps up. The leather straps direct where the cotton candy will go.
@@spunparadise8823 thank you. Can you give me an idea of where to find the poly bags for the 1oz size? I can't seem to find them for beginner/low volume
We always request a 120V dedicated circuit when spinning live, but we do bring out a Honda EU2000i generator with propane conversion when that is not possible. We haven't tried a battery pack yet!
Alright you sold me on the vivo lol its just for personal use but I have a really big family and my tabletop cotton candy maker can't keep up when I break it out, and runs a bit too hot
Hi can you use the whirlwind machine for one cone at a time and then use it for a different flavor and just keep on using it one cone at a time for kids wanting different flavors? I’m talking about the big cotton candy machine.
I’ve been binge watching your videos for the past three days! I appreciate all the info & experience you share. :)) Any words of wisdom as to whether to purchase the Vivo with the cart or without? Also, with the dome/shield or without? The end goal is starting a business making cotton candy & cotton candy art at parties, and potentially renting out my machine(s) as well. Shipping it would be fantastic too, but I don’t want to be overly ambitious here… ;D
A lot of places are sold out of the Vivo. I also recommend the Funtime or Carnival King as comparable machines. I definitely recommend the dome/shield!
The Vivo only spins one cone at a time, so every cone can be different if you scoop a different flavor each time. The Vivo wouldn't be ideal for eight hours, the only way to use a Vivo for the suggested use, would be to have two machines, every hour or so, you would need to switch the machine out and allow the hot machine to cool and clean it so that it is ready for heavy use again.
I have a question, so if I get the vivo and have a private catering for 3 hours, I would need to change the machine every hour? Not very convenient to carry two machines
I highly recommend always having a back up machine for events. You don't necessarily need to switch out, as long as you are able to just let the machine rest for about 15 minutes, you can still use the same machine.
If I’m understanding correctly, it only takes 1 Tablespoon of candy floss sugar for all machines. If that is so, why does my tiny home machine makes smaller cones than a larger machine despite using the same amount of sugar? Just curious. Thanks! Love your videos!
No, every machine takes a different amount of sugar. Most machines (other than Gold Medal commercial grade machines) come with a scooper for your sugar which measures the correct amount of sugar for that machine. Hope that makes sense, thanks!
You would be looking at around 12,700. See the link here for an example of a nearly identical machine; www.amazon.in/Akreeti-Tabletop-Commercial-Electric-Machine/dp/B08D37L7QV/

We got the nostalgia at home ... use one time so far ... totally hard to wash and burn only half of the sugar... it works but it's not great at all
Whats ur opinion on vevor
FOR start of the business i can use the small one
No, the Nostalgia (smallest red machine) would not be suitable for a business. You could start with the medium machine (pink machine) though. Thanks!
