    That KTM is a "purist": not a single eletronic assistance, only driver's experience.
    Your S 1000 RR is what I called "friendly" bike. Despite the specs, it's very easy to drive and humble. It's a good thing changing the driving experience once and a while

    Good call wearing earplugs. Even with a stock exhaust the wind noise will still get you. Once I got used to them, I found I was way less fatigued after riding. It makes it easier for me to focus on what I’m doing too! Thanks for sharing the RC8 feeling too. Always been one of those bikes I’ve wanted to experience. 🙂

    I have the new, race only RC8C and its neat to see the RC8R which shares the KTM "heritage". These analog twins are some of the purest form of riding you can experience. If possible, take the RC8R on track and compare with the other literbikes, that's where the experience really comes to life. 🙌

    I feel you bro on Tinnitus, I also developed it in my left ear about 6 years ago after many loud meets and shows etc.. It takes a huge toll on you dies to the non-stop ringing/running water sounds ( for me ). It never goes away for me but become more manageable over time, but I do have to have constant sound to drown mine out, like a fan/ tv/ music.

      @@wildwaters8348 yes and no sadly. There are so called treatments/ medications to help with Tinnitus, but they are only treatments that can help mitigate the ringing/whooshing sounds. For some they may help but the majority of people who suffer from it constantly every day will learn to cope/mitigate the intensity on there own, even after seeking treatment.
      For me personally I found that over time ( not with help of medications )my brain has learned to tone it down over time. I still deal with every day, but its at a 4/10 intensity instead of a 10/10 from which the first 6 months of having it was like and sometimes I get spells where the Tinnitus ramps for a day or 2. I still have to drown it out while at home / sleeping with fans/TV and when I'm out and about, the wind from riding and just the outside noise is calming in a weird way.
      I'm hoping to try a special hearing aid soon to help increase my hearing which the louder sound from regular hearing also helps in training your brain. They are expensive if you truly want a quality aid.

I love this bike because of the fact no one is scratching at the bit to get them like R6's, R1's, BMW's, etc. This is more of a big V2 than a "liter" bike although it is an 1190. the thing about the faulty engine code im assuming is that the m1000rr when you first start it up when cold its got the high rpm to get the oil flowing faster and it locked the throttle so you wont cause any accidental wear in the engine thats my best guess for that one and if its not thats kind of a problem for a 37000$ machine from bmw lol. Edit: why are his shorts string so long? 🤣 4:14

    It’s not from the loud exhaust, it’s from the wind noise. Anything above 60mph will damage your hearing without earplugs especially in a helmet like the gp rr. Hearing damage is permanent and can’t be reversed, not to mention it will only worsen with time it doesn’t reach a limit and stop.
    Wear earplugs, not worth skipping the extra 1 minute for a life time of issues.

    • @alibay3871
      @alibay3871 2 года назад +1

      @@Balmung812 There are earplugs made specific for that. 18-20dbz of sound blockage isn’t going to stop you from hearing anything important but IS enough to protect your ears.
      If anything, you’ll find you’ll be able to hear important things more without the wind howling in your hears.

    The reason it doesn't have electronics is because its a focused track bike that you can ride on the street, not the lther way around like most bikes. The electronics in 2015 on motorcycles weren't good enough for track riding like they are now. They were too intrusive, and slow. I ride my 14 superduke with all the rider aids turned off because its a better experience.

    modern bikes don't need warming up they use hypereutectic pistons that have 16% of silicon in them basically there is no thermal expansion. Just don't redline it from cold since the oil has to make it's way around the engine (first 20 to 30 seconds)

    I've had this engine in my 1190 Adventure R, and that bike , with TC off, Akra exhaust, race air filter and map, felt like a totally brutal bike. The RC8R is one of the best looking bike IMHO, but like all KTM's, especially the new ones, their stock exhaust and maps ruin all the brutal engine characteristics. They have tried to make those engines less and less vibrating and comply with regulations, they've lost a lot of their aggressive nature. Good for V4 lovers I guess, but I prefer the feeling when my fingers tingle after a ride due to vibrations. I don't know if this RC8R had TC, but the way you applied throttle, normally you should have done several wheelies... that engine lifted my 240 KG Adventure R NO problem.... and this RC8R is MUCH lighter :)
