@@skyorsea It really depends on how you are as a student. I took 13 credits my first semester which was around 4 classes then after that I bumped it up to 16 credits for my remaining semesters. idk who needs to hear this, but if you do not like school DO NOT go to college. Save yourself so much time, money, and stress and do not commit to four years of doing something you hate. If you're worried about your finances in the future, you can always enroll in college when you're older. You gotta have that intrinsic motivation or else you're going to regret it. And if you're thinking 'well nobody likes school, it's supposed to be torture,' no baby, it's not. Some people ENJOY taking classes and doing assignments, and they're usually the ones that perform the best. You have to take control of your own life and stop doing things because somebody told you that's what you're 'supposed' to do. College junior out ✌🏽I got syllabi to read.
thank you for shedding light on your regrets. I definitely agree with not taking your college experience for granted, and realizing how much of a blessing it is. I think about that daily (and how things could have been different). To add, I would also say that, although college may be hard, it is not too big to achieve. Don’t let the difficulties/pressures of college make you feel small, or become intimidated. You are worthy of being there (and you can get through it).
As someone who dropped out of college I’ve learned a life lesson about college because I thought I knew what I wanted to do And baby I was wrong …and I tried to see what else they had didn’t peak my interests ..but imma try again cause I had to do some thinking

not to be that one person that's like "um actually" but as an education major, learning styles is kinda a scam, 😭this one on of the first things my education (and psych) classes taught me but there's no scientific evidence proving that learning styles are effective. Most people think they are effect because the use these "styles" to create learning/study habits, but in all honesty you learn best how the material is presented, they just push learning styles in schools cause it makes education companies money

Hey, I chose my major as graphic and web design because I originally wanted to be a youtuber, (when I was in 11th grade) but I didn't think it would be a reliable source of income. I still like making videos and practicing graphic design, so that's why I chose my major as that. I am in my final year of college and plan on getting a job afterwards. My original plans (in 9th-10th grade) were to become a trauma surgeon, a vet tech, or an autism doctor, but I didn't think they were good career choices based on what I enjoy! So that's why I chose graphic and web design! 😊 I enjoyed watching this video!

hi aliyah or anyone else who’s reading this. i need some advice. to keep the long story short, i recently went to college orientation and i came back feeling like i made the wrong decision due to having many culture shocks (it’s a predominantly asian school so there’s a lot of things catered towards that demographic and i’m black from LA) and feeling like i wont have the typical “college experience” bc the college i committed to is deemed as socially dead. my mom told me that i shouldn’t let the 24-48 hrs i was there to determine what my full experience will be and to wait it out/try out some things before deciding to go to a cc and transferring. it wouldn’t hurt me financially to go for the year so i was wondering if you or anyone else had any advice for me/thoughts about my situation 😭 lovely video as always 🩷🩷🩷
