Steady on there Dave. You don’t want to go all in! Don’t be throwing that rod and line away just yet. You might struggle to fish the far bank with 12 metres of pole. Glad you enjoyed.👍
Barbel on the pole? No problem with my favourite pole, the older version of Dave’s pole, but the rivers I fish like this are much smaller but will go to the Lower Thames and try it there! Bill
Top class! something I’ve thought about experimenting with on my local river Swale, might have to gear up though as it’s very snaggy. What breaking strain line do you use Dave? And what elastic is it? Have you landed double figure fish from such tight swims. Just wondering if I could use this method with a more specimen aimed approach in the right swim. Cheers.
Is seat you use part of a seat box . Looks like could be Sensas. I fish Severn a bit and would like to get benefits of seatbox system but often can’t even use a barrow so difficult to carry
Mike Davis Hi Mike. It’s actually made by Maver. It’s called a Maver a signature Venue seatbox. It breaks down and all goes into a nice carry bag. I bought it about 6 years ago to combat some of the long walks where barrows weren’t practical. I now also have a Preston compact which is similar
Nothing this man can't do. Brilliant video. Beats chasing munters down the edge of a commercial that's for sure
Thank you Daniel! ✋
This man has the Wye running through his veins 😊👍
Who needs a overstocked puddle, when you have the beautiful wye and Dave’s tuition?.👍👏👏

Thanks pat! 👍
A very enjoyable watch and listen Dave. I must give the pole a try for barbel on the wonderful wye 👍😊
It's pretty exhilarating Paul. Rarely get the conditions as right as they were for this one! 👍
This video made me very happy.
As does your comment me! ✋
Brilliant video again master of all methods
blink and youll miss the bite wow, this has convinced me to get a pole instead of my rod and reel

If I hadn't seen it, I wouldn't have believed it. Just about to subscribe to Angling Escapades.

Wow What a place that river is! I thought you would have to sit there for a few hours but first drop in and the barbel are on it, awesome fishing ;)
I was surprised as you might tell by my reaction. 😂
love your videos, but that music is so annoying....
