I'm glad most people prefer to use the Malaysian-origin name of the species "binturong" rather than the misleading "bearcat". Ayu is also a Malaysian word which means fair/pretty. She is indeed beautiful :)

This creature is from Southeast Asia mostly Malaysia and Indonesia. In our language,Ayu means pretty. And its a she. Omg cuteeeeeeeeeee

Part cat, part bear, and sort of resembles a seal too. Crazy.
They do look a bit like a cat and a bear but are not really related to those animals. They are more closely related to weasels, fosses and mongooses. I also think they look a fair bit like a wolverine but are not related to them either.
To me sort of looks like a cross between a raccoon and a wolverine, but with hind feet like a squirrel so can walk down a tree headfirst. Bear? Not much. KInd of like a big fisher (north america). A smorgasbord of animals!
Such an awsum animal, way cooler than a lot of other animals. I dont get why there is so few vidoes about them. And why the few videos out there have so few views.
