Had been looking at the Shiftpod mini but was concerned with some issues reported. This seems to address those concerns and is a perfect size for travel in a compact car. I'd like to use it along with a Tusca Outdoors Hitchhiker.
I've been stalking the basecamp and the shiftpod, both. The shiftpod mini seems too small to stand up in which for me is the whole point of the tent like this. I really appreciate somebody making a video for this new tent, because the manufacturer hasn't yet. I'm going to order one. I've literally been deliberating for years, because the product I wanted didn't exist. This is it, the tent I wanted.
You make it look easy. I just got the same Overlandish solo tent today. I'm having some trouble. I had the get in the tent to get the walls to pop out. They won't pop out from the outside because the tension it pulls the whole tent. I can't break it down too. Every time I try to break it down one wall stays up and everything collapses with one of the walls still out and on the top. 🤷🏽♂️
Maybe it because I’m built like a gorilla? 😁 it was super easy for me. Worked liked they said it would 🤷🏻♂️. Maybe practice with someone holding the opposite side a couple times until you get the feel of the tension needed
The big one is the same tent set up, just a bigger footprint. It weights more and is definitely larger to haul around, but if you are cramped for vehicle space like me in my little jeep you will love it!
@@exoapodude, I just set this thing up. Talk about QUALITY. This tent is by far the best tent I've ever had. Everything is solid and sturdy. It's dark inside and quieter than my other tents. This will help my wife and I sleep through the night without constantly waking up. So happy I bought it!
Love this presentation, so nicely elaborated bud.
Thank you! I appreciate you watching

Yeah, I heard about some issues too. I can’t speak on those, but I can say so far so good on this one 😁👍 sounds like a good camp set up too!

stats in the middle were interesting...thanks
what color is the inside fabric of the solo tent....it looks like a dark reddish / purple, is that the case or is it just the lighting of video
So the inside of the basecamp solo is black on the green and black exterior tents and the gray exterior has a pale gray interior.
Great video!
Thanks my friend! 👊
ordered one. thanks.
Pretty sweet not having to set up traditional tent poles

I have a baby, would you recommend this or their full size. It would be My wife and I, our 45lb dog and a toddler

Great vid! Thanks! Im 6'1". Will it comfortably fit two people?
I’m 6’3, my wife is 5’3 and with my dog Pete 90 pound lab we fit fine👍
@@exoapo Great. Thanks! Looks like an amazing tent.
Just ordered one. Kind of worried now that it'll be too small.
If I’m comparing it to all the traditional tents I’ve owned, I’d say it’s a big 3 person 👍

I’m stoked to hear that! I definitely think this tent is a winner 👍 keep in touch, I love to hear people’s opinions on stuff
Is there a discount code? Also is this 4 seasons tent? I have the Gazelle and it leaks water and sucks in the wind. Sand gets inside.
I’ll ask on a code, I just bought mine. But definitely a four season tent. Does pretty well in the wind. 👍
@@exoapoi too was interested in a code if there is one please
I don’t have a code, but their IG is @overlandish maybe they have a general code or something
There is a a little bit of a discount code. You can email Mark from Overlandish from the website.
Can you fit two cots in the tent?
I haven’t tried it, but I’m pretty sure they will fit with all the gear 👍
Try to avoid putting information on the screen while testing the product. Because it's hard to see what you're doing
Nice video but the stats in the middle of the shots are distracting.
I appreciated the little tid bits. Those tiny details convinced me to buy it.
