This channel should find a way to format these uploads so it’s not immediately spoiled who’s in the finals. No way to watch them in order without accidentally seeing some of the results
Totally. It should at least be uploaded in order. I have to piece together the order myself by going through every title beforehand which is such a pain. Being able to watch in order is a bigger priority for me than spoilers, it’s not exactly GoT level plot twists. They would have to remove all names and faces from the titles and thumbnails
All tournaments are like this... you don't go to a tournament and have no idea whose playing in the finals lol... what a braindead take.. most of the time people only watch the finals since the rest is pointless.
Just finiahed watching every round and gall what a ride that was. Learned actually quite a bit whoch was great, im getting standard now and excited. Was really routing for Cain there, but it is vool to see someone have such high auccess as qell
Pro Players can really draw the right cards at the right time. In MTG Arena, me: I have 8 lands in play and 3 land cards on my hand. Shuffler: Here's another land.
I knew I wasn't tripping when I saw that XD! All I could think was "Do you HAVE to show my boys disappointment directly in front of their celebrating!?" Like there was no other camera angle available at that exact moment to show the celebration and let the loser have their somber moment? The only thing that was harder to watch was when I saw a players face in pro league of legends when they screwed up and got caught out really bad as Twitch and cost their team the game. Before anything was said and done you could tell he knew HE fucked up and cost his team the game and they just left the camera on his face that looked like it was about to burst into tears in pure shame and "I'm like okay 2-4 seconds is enough cut to the fucking casters who are talking geezus!"
All this weakness in this community is so ridiculous. In professional sports after the superbowl, the camera pans to the key players of the losing team to show the agony. It highlights the contrast of the moment. Watching someone celebrate doesn't showcase the power of the moment unless you see how equally devastating it is for the other side to lose. It's nothing personal against anyone. They'd have done the same thing to the winner if he lost. You people need to toughen up.
The organization didn't show it enought, the contrast of emotion is one of the most central themes in sports. You have someone at the highest high and someone at the lowest low, this is how it goes and framing it is the perfect thing to do.
@@minihas6817 yes I know there were 3 non rakdos decks in the top 8, but when over 50% of the tournament (including grixis) and 63% of top 8 are a red/black shell that is not a healthy standard.
@@darron614 It is not red, red is at a bad place.(people arent even teching against it) It is fable. Two bodies, potential ramp, card selection and the copy effect for just 2 and a red, if it would be three red and only profit red decks we wouldnt even need to talk about it. Just 1.3 years more :D
I think you don't quite understand how these work. People test to find the best combination of cards, and bring them to tournaments. No matter how hard you balance, its impossible to avoid a certain combination from being "the best". Which might only be a couple percent higher winrate
@Mike Asterios I don't think you really even read my comments. It's not really about winrate. Over 50% of the tournament was Rakdos or Rakdos shell (Grixis splash blue). That's just simply not a healthy/fun standard meta. We'll see what happens with the May 29 ban announcements.
There were Fable, Bankbuster and Invoke. Now there are Sheoldred, Mosswood Knight and Cottage. I would prefer they unban everything and see how it will go.
hate that magic now is just a bunch of people playing some other persons deck you see the same deck over and overand sometimes someone might make there own brew
I disagree. He went for a haymaker with Etali and his two flips were flops. Had one of those have been a Chandra or Invoke, he probably takes the game. Basically he got pretty unlucky with his draws, which was the unfortunate story of this pro tour finals
If me and the boys are at a tournament and we win! I'm getting that endorphin dump and going crazy with the boys, I can cupcake later with the Mrs but celebrating a win in a huge tournament with the boys, nothing beats it.
Really people prefer to watch the game like this and not in the Arena? The last tournaments were engaging because was more simple to follow the game. It's impossibile to see Magic The Gathering to do ONE logic thing?
@@cooljoe500 I was enjoying tournaments on Arena, the cards were visible, like the player faces, the animations. In this way, it's hard to follow or enjoying the game.
See, with chess, live is cool because it's actually 3D. But with cards everything is 2D anyway....might as well do it digitally. I mean, stil have them be there live, sitting across from each other...but just playing on Arena. like the meltwater chess tour - ruclips.net/video/ZG7Apc_adEI/видео.html
Gopher da Throat is one of the most feared gangsters in the entire Multiverse.
... I don't know if that name is feared..

Although I agree, we are kind of lucky to get coverage at all.
MTG coverage has always been like this.
@@noahwilliams803 they make a billion dollars, id think coverage is the least they could do

Yapppppppppp just recently got back in to it and ya. It's dope ^_^

The format is really diverse, a lot of different deck formats
Lol
i really wish i could play this format for an additional year

In fairness, they do this for every sport.
@@AtownOriginalgo play some fooseball then
I feel for Cain man that’s gotta be heartbreaking. Sad seeing him essentially drown in that seat after losing.
Spoiled it for me
Probably not a good idea to read comments lol
Only one problem. Reprint the reserve list!!! Hear hear!!!
Why do they continually shuffle the cards in their hands
what are they writing on the piece of paper?
Life totals, math and hands if they’ve seen them. Essentially anything useful.
0:00 this guy looks similar to Beastyqt :D
Yay for busted cards that produce boring tournaments.
Congrats to Nathan. But poor Cain.
congrats
Bans when?
Standard sure is healthy and diverse right now... man what a boring tournament since magic is only 2 colors now.
while mostly red black there were also 5 color ramp/reanimators, azourious soldiers, mono white midrange with black splash, grixis

fable and invoke are SO MUCH STRONGER than mosswood knight... and cottage? Seriously?
selling calendar for all years...
Dude Rakdos is the best deck in like three different formats….seriously is wizards going to let this continue even longer in standard? What a joke.
Every time the commentators say Atsushi, I think he's going to cast Su-Chi and we'll be transported back to 1994 😅
hate that magic now is just a bunch of people playing some other persons deck you see the same deck over and overand sometimes someone might make there own brew
You’re clearly new here lol, top tier magic has been about net decking since the start of magic.
I mean pro magic has always been the best decks of the formats making it to the top.
its literally been like that since 1996 (and arguably since its creation at a more local level) be real
Playing the second Atsushi on game 4 was such a bad play. Basically, Cain aswers his own threat.

It's probably a crime to hold tournaments in such a rigged software, but in amerika criminals are rewarded so.
