    I did SO much research, read SO many reviews on other units and found that this was the best unit for the money. And if you have a family it comes double wide too! So far I love mine and would recommend it to anyone.

    The unit does not work when plugged in? Is there supposed to be a oil in the container for it to work? The magnetic plug also does not fit snuggly in there

    I have this Presto deep fryer but have not used it yet since I bought it 3yrs ago. I don't like the heating element submerged into the oil. It might cause a fire. I guess the video above appears to be safe to use. Is anyone had a problem using this deep fryer? Thanks

      Yes, let the oil cool and strain it. Store it in an airtight container in a cupboard or fridge for 2 weeks. It’s best kept in the freezer for longer storage 😀

    I recently bought this fryer from Amazon. Overall, I am happy with it. My only disappointment is it's temperature. I use a good quality, calibrated deep fryer thermometer to check the fryer. There is a difference of 20-30 degrees, Fahrenheit. When setting the fryer to 350 degrees, the actual oil temperature is 330 degrees. When I turn the fryer all the way to 375 degrees, the oil only reaches 345 degrees. So the higher I set it, the less accurate the fryer temperature is. This is my 3rd fryer and they are all inaccurate, temperature wise. This one was the least accurate.

    • @drayluffy
      @drayluffy Год назад +1

      Probably because your using oil that does not reach it temperature on the deep fryer because the oil have its own limit temperature so if u want it to be accurate use vegetable oil or canola oil

    • @bestkitchenreviews
      @bestkitchenreviews  Год назад +1

      No, it’s not a good idea to pour oil down any drain. It’s best to pour oil into a container and take it to a local recycling center where oil is recycled. That’s what I do in my town. Call your town administration and they’ll help you. If you don’t have a recycling center, freeze oil and throw it out with garbage. Hope that helps 😀
