    Before this video I have never prepared any cauliflower. Today I found one bought by my wife. I decided to cook it and found your RUclips video. It turned out delicious. I added lemon juice and vegetable oil and put my cauliflower into the oven. Merci.

    I liked your video but I like the root and base part of the stems they are very crunchy and crisp unless there is a reason like contamination. Your voice is so soothing for my nerves which act up when I try to cook. :)

      I agree. I cut up the leaves and the thick base and put them in my homemade soups. Lots of flavor and vitamins.

      Hi again Niv. Yes absolutely this is the typical thing to do with offcuts, always keep them for soups or stock or other preparation/

    Everything he threw away is not only fine to eat but also delicious, even the leaves I eat those. If you're gonna do something like roasted floweretes or puree you can't use them. But for something like soup I just throw the leaves and the stem in there, it tastes delicious.

    i hope you will answer, when you have cut the Cauliflower can it go right in the freezer or do you have boil it first or poor hot water on to it before freezer?

    interesting how you prepared it i have seen some just cook the whole head then cutting them into pieces or mashing it up. But seems your method is how most of the time its done in veg bags at the grocery store. Your method takes longer to prepare though. Nice video

      +Drew M Hi drew, for some people all the veggie videos are too long and slow paced but I guess there are there to give an idea of what is the technical concept you learn in a French cooking school when preparing vegetable. However in real life I totally imagine that we all need to take shortcuts, which is absolutely fine as well. thanks for watching

      HI carlos thanks for watching. water and vinegar to wash and when it comes to eating them at a minimum you need to blanch the cauliflower. (to blanch means: start to cook the cauliflower in cold water with salt in a saucepan bring the water the boil and when the water boils take the cauliflower out)

      What do you do if the cauliflower is dirty like most are, cut it off, leave it or being French throw it in the bin. Why did you throw away the leaves which are perfectly edible? Is it bad to leave it to soak? I was told you should leave veg to soak then any bugs will float to the surface.

  • @musicgram08
    @musicgram08 21 час назад

    Isn’t HOW to cook most important part of PREPARING? So many dirty pans and then no information on how to cook the cauliflower! Anybody that has eaten cauliflower knows to take the raw veg apart and make it look what you need to COOK! What is best way you COOK? Is it better to cook whole then process into sizes needed and how long does it take to COOK without turning to soft mush?

      AIS Your idea of a video and "not rocket science" is exactly why ppl like you end up doing things wrong. Because they assume things and all is in the specific details.
      From canning, fermenting, dehydrating to anykind of food prep.. All the ones that have video like you want make so many mistakes and get ppl to eat unclean, unhealthy and disgusting stuff that sometime can even be considered dangerous.
      Keep your "not rocket science" to yourself and keep feeling like a pro because you do not know the bads that you do.
