I'm only 16 and I already feel the weight of this song. I go to school, go downtown, whatever it may be and I just sit back and compare it to when I was 4, 5, or 6. Like damn, wasn't everything so much bigger? So much cooler? Now I look and see this mass melancholia imposed by all the technology that has done nothing short of invaded our lives. That's why this song is so legendary, it's so ahead of my time and all the other kids that listen to Jack, because this is probably the shit I'm gonna be feeling when I'm 22 and laying in bed the morning after some wild drinking party at college. When I recommend Jack Harlow, this is my goto song, because it has something for everyone.

His “Gazebo” mixtape from 2017 is closest to this probably. It’s got a night-time, more emotionally honest vibe. I still think it’s his best project to date. It’s not as pop-leaning in production or lyrics...plus, “Eastern Parkway” is easily one of his best songs. He’s admitted as much that eastern Parkway and River Road are easily two of his very best songs due to their introspection and vulnerability. You should check Gazebo out for sure if you want that vibe..it’s really, really good...esp bc he was 19 when he made it. Soul-baring
