One night or early morning, I asked the Father why there is a lot about Wisdom and little about discernment? And the word of the lord came to me. What I speak to you in the dark shout from the rooftops in the morning. With my understanding I created the heavens and the earth, and with my Wisdom I made a path. And with my discernment I laid the foundation of knowledge. I call you son because you are my son and I am proud of you. I said I am not worthy to be called your son. From all I have learned, knowledge is of the world but understanding comes from our Father of heaven and of earth through Jesus. It is enough for the student to be like his teacher, and the servant like his master. I have laid down my life that Jesus may lift you up on the last day.

Its the Holy Spirit. Seek God with all your heart. OUr doubt is the greatest hindrance, along with false guilt and a lack of understanding of God's Mercy and Grace.

I have been warning my stepdad about lots of people since I was a child even before they did their wickness, I realised as I got older he was just like the rest of them , all of them in his church are wolves, am away from that many many years now thank God

To pray for discernment, first a person has to know what discernment means in the word of God.
There are things that the natural man can not understand neither can he see them, for they are foolishness unto him. Because they are spiritually discerned by the Spirit of God.

Pastor Doug, I really struggle with whether I am in the right place of where God wants me to be. How will I know that I am doing His will ?
Shielah, do you read your Bible? Romans 10:17, Colossians 3:16.If you don't, do so. Take notes of scriptures that strike you using a notebook. Pray. If you have doubt in your heart, ask God to rebuke it from you. John 1:12 - you have the right, the power but we must be patient. 1 John 5:6-11, and remember Ephesians 6:12 - this is a spirit battle. I use gotquestions.org to help me with my studies and when I am feeling lost. Ask any I will do my best to help. I will pray for you, but walking with God will not be easy, Hebrews 5:7-9. Look up these scriptures. They will strengthen you and Jesus is with you always, even unto the end of all things.
Repent, be baptized in Jesus name for the remission of your sins and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost - Acts 2:38. This is how you get started. I come to you with truth in love.

Isn't it amazing that many churches claim to have certain gifts like discernment and others; claim to have doctrinal degrees and so on. But at no time does any of these knowledgeable people walk away from their beliefs because of doctrinal error. Very few if any.
Please "discern" how Hosea 2:11 and Colossians 2:14-17 are related to one another.
Hosea is Old Testament. Colossians is New Testament. Colossians 2:14-17 was saying that they were no longer confined by the old Jewish teachings. They were now free from the condemnation of such things because they were being pushed in the Colossian church.

FOOD RESTRICTIONS IN THE NEW COVENANT???

How did the Apostles understand Jesus and pass on His teachings???

Titus 1:15-16 “To the clean all things are clean, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is clean; in fact, both their minds and their consciences are tainted”

I like your preaching, but watch out sir. Do not let your "according to my understanding" hate to Catholic, make you say things that you don't suppose to, and as a result, cause you to sin. Please do not let the devil manipulate you.

Ze Manel ...when Jesus said to Peter get behind me Satan, it’s because Jesus discerned that Peter is being used by the Devil to persuade Jesus not to die in the cross. Jesus know the hearts of men, Jesus knew the strength and weaknesses of Peter. Peter thought that he is very loyal to Jesus but Peter realized his weakness after the rooster crowed 3 times. Peter remembered what Jesus said to him.... Jesus foretold what Peter will do when confronted about his loyalty to Jesus. God's Blessings Revelation 13:16 says people will receive the mark of the beast in the forehead or in the hand. What does this mean?
Answer: The forehead represents the mind (Hebrews 10:16). A person will be marked in the forehead by a decision to keep Sunday as a holy day. The hand is a symbol of work (Ecclesiastes 9:10). A person will be marked in the hand by working on God's holy Sabbath or by going along with Sunday laws for practical reasons (job, family, etc.). The sign, or mark, for either God or the beast will be invisible to people. You will, in essence, mark yourself by accepting either God's sign or mark, the Sabbath, or the beast's mark, Sunday. Though invisible to men, God will know who has which mark (2 Timothy 2:19).
