Girls Trip to Panama 🇵🇦 Travel Vlog - feat. my bestie ♥️

Would I recommend Panama City?
In all honesty, NO!
Im not even going to lie when I tell you Panama City was pretty boring, especially coming from Colombia, where everyday is a party and everything is affordable. Panama operates on the USD, which is never a good thing, when you are a budget traveller with a Canadian income.
Anyways, I got to spend a week with my bestie in a beautiful place, that was tropical and without boundaries. So I can't complain!
Heres how it went:
Day 1: Flight in from Cali, Colombia 🇨🇴 on Wingo Airline for $99 !!
I arrived at the smaller airport, BLB, and had to take a 35-45 minute taxi into town. We checked into our airbnb, dropped our bags, and then went to check out the area. We explored Viejo Casco, the old part of Panama City, also known as Centro Historico. Then, took a $5 uber ride to the mall in the most modern area, downtown Panama City. We went into any restaurant that peeked our interested, and then bar hopping. The area was super safe and filled with tourists.
Day 2: Trip to Taboga Island, via Ferry. Spent the evening bar hopping, and then the night enjoying Salsa and Bachata on a rooftop with locals.
Day 3: Visit the Gamboa conservation area, where we explored a natural region of tropical forestry, a butterfly conservatory, a orchid nursery, and a sloth habitat. Later that afternoon, a little hike to the top of Cero Ancon, to get a panoramic view of the city.
Day 4: A full day trip to San Blas Island, which required a 3 hour drive along a windy and half-paved road and 45 minutes in a bumpy speed boat … each way! But let me tell you, the views and tranquility of this excursion was completely worth the trek.
Day 5: Unfortunately, this was a work day for me, so while I was inside, staring at my computer screen, my bestie went out and explored on her own and spent time at the pool. Its so important to take time to actually rest, when on vacation.
Day 6: We spent this day wandering beyond the limits of the tourists areas of Viejo Casco, in hopes of escaping the cruise ship crowds, but also just wanting to see other areas. We went into the local markets searching for fresh fruit, and into small shops, to buy souvenirs.
At night, we found a fancy Italian restaurant downtown, and then a rooftop that might have been the highest point of the city, overlook as far as you can see.
Day 7: Travel day!
This was my FINAL trip of 2022!! Thank you so much for watching! In the year of 2023, I was blessed enough to visit over 11 countries, and I cant even begin the explain how excited I am to be sharing this content with you!!!

Ouu yes, it’s a cool spot to check out, but I highly recommend somewhere like Cartagena, Colombia 🇨🇴 for a Girl’s Trip!
