I have the AEV spacer lift on my gladiator mojave and it looks great and rides perfect. Just make sure to get the AEV geometry correction kit at the same time - with the GEO brackets in place you will notice a significant improvement in steering wander. And then you don't need to add the mopar lower control arms to correct the castor. Your local AEV installer will know about this combination.
I just hate the thought of reducing the ground clearance at the front lower control arms with the brackets, but they should work great. Thanks for the view!
Did the exact same on my 22’ Mojave and I added rear airbags in the stock springs. Towing or hauling its always level and controlled. Great lift and handles with 37’s with no drama.
@@bdan3459 this is interesting? I had one of the AEV reps tell me I needed to add them and had one tell me I did not? Also have seen a few videos where that person didn't install them either so I'm guessing it drives fine then? Thanks
It is such a awesome looking Mojave with the 392 wheels I had to show it off! Good to hear the AEV kit is still doing great, it was really a factory quality kit.
I imaging you’re going to have less articulation with the AEV spacer lift than going with another suspension lift setup. I love the suspension on my Mojave, but I’d want more articulation if/when I lift it. I think the stock Fox/Mojave shock only gets 8” of travel.
Yeah I agree, with this you aren't gaining or loosing any articulation just raising the Jeep up 2in. I just couldn't stand to swap out the awesome Mojave shocks! Thanks for the view!
@@DUNEATV I think they’re referring to when it is disconnected. Even without an E-disco, you can still manually disconnect your sway bar. Can also get aftermarket quick disconnects. But even then, articulation (flex) is still limited by other factors, such as your shock travel.
Thoughts on the Mopar lift lower control arms vs the AEV correction plates? Up in Omaha, looking at the AEV lift myself. Have the part # handy on the lifted control arms, when I seem to only find the factory control arms.
I just hate the thought of loosing ground clearance at the front lower control arm brackets with the AEV plates. I know they would work great for there purpose but again adding a 2in lift only to lower the control arms 2 inches seems less ideal.
@@TylerPotter so your opinion running the mopar arms is a better option? I asked AEV about running those arms and they were opposed to it but also I had one sales guy tell me I didn't need the caster correction kit and then when I was going to order the kit that sales person told me I needed them and a steering dampner? If the arms work I'd consider this kit. I guess the most important is pushing the front diff forward is the most important so basically running any arms that work for 2" lifts would probably work?
This is the part number 68322798AA, you will need 2 of them. They work great for any aftermarket lift that doesn't come with any way to add caster when lifted. Thanks for the view!
@@603Aviation I ended up canceling the order before it shipped. Had some irl issues come up where dedicated funds needed shifted to other channels. Still have it on the 'to do' list.
I'm putting this spacer lift on my 22. I have purchased a set of Clayton Offroad control arms to adjust he caster. heard you say you put a set of Mopar control arms on this one. Can you tell me what the measurement is on those. im having a hard time finding that out.
My only issue with the control arm brackets is the loss of ground clearance under the control arms mounts at the frame. It just seems counter active to lift something 2in and then lower the control arm mounts the same amount. At least out in the Kansas/ Oklahoma off-roading areas we seem to have a lot of rocks that hit our control arms mounts at the frame. If the mounts where 2 inches lower we would be on them all day long.
I am thinking of getting this lift for my mojave. My concern is the axle alignment and geometry. Did you need to replace the oem trackbar with an adjustable one or the geometry relocation brackets. I heard some people who did this lift noticed the axle tracking off center. What's your advice. Great content
This one still had the stock track bars. The axles will be just slightly off center and you could use a nice set of adjustable track bars to center them if you wanted. Thanks for the view!
More caster on a solid axle vehicle is normally always a good thing. I haven't ever added them to a stock height Wrangler to correct an issue but it would be interest to drive it before and after to see the result. Thanks for the view!
In our relatively flat Kansas roads they seem to go into 8th fine once the correct tire size is programmed, but I would assume in more hilly areas it might not want to use 8th as much. Thanks for the view!
Tyler... what is the life expectancy on those Fox shocks since you mentioned they are 2000$ (a piece)? The shocks on my JK Rubicon (in city driving) only lasted about 30k miles. To spend 8000$ on shocks when they fail, you might as well sell it and buy a new one. What's your opinion and recommendation?
