Very well explained & detailed that even the non mechanic, non automotive types who have likely never put air into their tires on their own let alone change oil or install starter by themselves. Only “gripe” I have is that you skipped over how to remove air cleaner plastics after disconnecting your negative terminal but other than that you detailed this so simple that literally a 12 year old could do it & my little cousin is 11 almost 12 and he loves anything automotive and wants to learn all he can and soak it up like a sponge. When he seen me in my barn with the hood up he came out & asked if he could help but didn’t want me to tell him where anything was. So he searched “how to change starter on 99 civic” your video popped up and he began working along your steps he was finished in less than 30mins. Him & I both immediately subscribed. Only wish that you didn’t abandon the channel and stop uploading 2yrs ago bc you are amazing at doing automotive repair tutorials!!

@@shezie9525 Hi Sean! the 2 motors have different starters, I just found out. the D series has a "spiral" design by the gear while the B series has an "earlobe" like design. Installation process however, is the same. Finished replacing mine about a week ago :)

@@shezie9525 I was gonna order one from rockauto, but I ended up having my old one rebuilt at a local starter/alternator shop here in Vancouver. I'm pretty sure Canada and US starters are the same.
