The expectation/standard should be to *get* to the ACCCG (and hopefully win) every year, stop losing (or winning close) to the bad teams we should be beating, and start beating the good teams we should be losing to. If we can do that, and do it consistently, we have a chance to put together a top tier/elite team/staff that has a shot of getting to the playoffs and winning. If we can't do that, we're likely to never get close to the playoffs and national championship again. It also likely means we're an afterthought during the next conference realignment. If we think we ever could get an invite to SEC/B1G, we have to build back the brand nationally by winning consistently.
I think expectations are very high for Tech this year and rightfully so.. all these guys didn't decide to return for another season just to be fair to midland.. they returned because they believe in each other and feel like they can do great things together.. personally I think this might be 1 of the best teams we have ever had from top to bottom I fully expect to see them in the ACC championship this year.. I also believe that one if not both of the tough games on the schedule Miami or Clemson is gonna be a upset. Go HOKIES
This is the most talented team we've had in a while , and this season presents a unique window. I'm ready for football, I can't listen to any more "talk season ". VT isn't investing in football to the degree they are to not make the playoff consistently the standard.
