- Sky News host Liz Storer has lauded vice presidential candidate JD Vance after he “fact-checked the fact checkers”.
Tim Walz and JD Vance battled it out during the CBS News Vice Presidential debate on Tuesday (local time).
“He wasn’t letting them [CBS moderators] get away with anything,” Ms Storer said.
“Vance quite literally gave a masterclass in how to debate.”

Such clear vindication. Last year (2023), I took heat when I posted that only two people should be considered as Trump’s VP, DeSantis or JD Vance. Everyone was asking “who the hell is JD Vance?” DeSantis took bad advice and ran against Trump. JD Vance was one of the first ones to endorse Trump (during his unpopular stretch after the red wave fizzle of the 2022 midterms). Literally called the Trump campaign after his Senate win and told them that if there’s anything they need of him to help, to call him anytime.
JD never sought to be considered as VP. He simply wanted to support Trump the way Trump supported his Senate run. He never campaigned to be his running mate. He just worked to do the job he promised he would provide. Now the world can see the potential I saw from this man in 2023. The guy is a once in a generation political talent. An actual intellectual in politics with an innate ability to communicate a message so clearly. This is JD Vance.

New Walz Abortion law in Minnesota, Debate: "The legislation Walz signed in May 2023 removed the word “preserve” and replaced the previous wording with a revised requirement “to care for the infant who is born alive.”
The wording change in Walz's abortion law stipulates doctors no longer provide lifesaving measures to the baby once born alive. It only requires ‘care.’ So the law as it’s now written could allow a baby to be left on a table to die, even a baby who could be saved with appropriate lifesaving measures. It all depends on your priorities, but out of the four primary contestants, only JD Vance comes across as possessing some semblance of statesmanship. The other three all struggle to even come close to achieving that. Trump will not be pleased about being outplayed by his subordinate.
