Hey, I didn't know we are birthday buddies! It's also my birthday this week! Happy birthday and I hope you have a great birthday week! 🥳🎂💖
Happy birthday week to you as well!
@@LiteratureScienceAlliance Thanks! 🥰
Me three- mine's today (12/11). Happy birthday week to us all!😊
I also loved Some Desperate Glory. I'm excited for Emily Tesh's new book next year.
Just put We Have Always Been Here on hold. Sounds right up my alley. I also loved the Emily Tesh book and I’m excited for whatever she does next. Continued Happy Reading!
Happy birthday!
Thank you!!!
You've got me beyond excited to pick up Some Desperate Glory and Those Beyond the Wall (well, book 1 first lol). And definitely prioritise the new Tia Williams, its one of my faves of this year, loved it even more than Seven Days 🤩
Happy birthday week! Hope it is cozy and warm and fun! Hope you get just the right amount of snow.
I support all of these decisions. You have also reminded me how much I need to read We Have Always Been Here. I feel like A Sorceress Comes to Call might be my fave Kingfisher so I am curious which one beats it.
🌌🪐 Some Desperate Glory ❤ you were the one who made me pick this up and I loved it. So excited for her new one and the cover for that one looks very pretty! ✨️
I picked up both Translation State and Some Desperate Glory after hearing your reviews, and enjoyed both! I still want to pick up The Skin and Its Girl.
I'm a sucker for T. Kingfisher. I own A Sorceress Comes to Call but haven't read it yet. Sounds excellent. I did like Juniper and Thorn too although I didn't read it this year. I hope if you've already celebrated your birthday it was GREAT. Wonderful video as always.
I reappeared from the void at the right time. HAPPY BIRTHDAY WEEK! 🥳🎉
omg I completely forgot that I haven't been that engaged in the book community during my current WWI hyperfixation. I need to go back and see your thoughts on The Warm Hands of Ghosts but YES TO NOT SEPARATING SCIENTISTS FROM HISTORY. I didn’t originally realize Fritz Haber was Jewish and then when I learned that he was I was floored.
If you want an alternative edition of Some Desperate Glory, you can find the Illumicrate edition for the same price /cheaper than the hardcover. It’s a signed, gorgeous purple hardback, endpage artwork, sprayed edges that match the UK cover (rainbowish one). Just throwing that out there!
Illumicrate is a fantasy book box that does a December sci-fi pick so it never goes well with the normal subscribers but DIRT CHEAP second hand.
2023 was “The Principle Moments” and 2024 will be “Hammajang Luck” if you also end up reading those and decide to pick up a beautiful edition for less than a hardcover price.
to add another datapoint:
I quite liked Juniper & Thorn (my outlier!), but I think after 3-4 books from them, I'm not going to ever pick up their books again (at least until someone who knows my taste specifically tells me I should)
While I do generally like their writing, it's usually not enough to get me past the aspects I don't like :/ But hopefully you find another one you enjoy from them!
Happy birthday! 🎉
Thank you 💜
Happy birthday 🎈
Happy Birthday week!! 🎉🌌
Thank you ☺️
Happy birthday ! Hope you have a fantabulous week ! Glad you are really liking W&T, I just kinda inhaled it. Looking forward to A Sorceress Comes To Call, got my bb edition and its lovely. So happy to see Juniper and Thorn on the list, I genuinely can't stop thinking about that book.
I am trying to enjoy the journey and not burn myself out but I am very excited that you gave it 5 stars book twin! Bodes well for me
@ genuinely very excited for your thoughts !
If you ever pick up Ancillary Justice again - the other two books are very different, a lot more political and more tea drinking, talking, and a loooot more character focused :D I'd be super interested what you think of them 🛸
And have a nice birthday
Happy birthday week 🎉🎊🥳🎂
Thank you!! 🥳
🪐🔭Happy early birthday!
Thank you!!
🛰🛰🛰 Have a great birthday week!
Thank you!! That’s the goal
Nice video! Happy Holidays!
🚀👽🛰️ Hope you have a wonderful birthday 🎂 🎉❤.
Always appreciate your content 😊😊
Thank you for the kind words 💜
Truly the year of Sci Fi for you, love that you had such a good time playing in a different genre more this year! 👽👾👽🪐🪐
👽 happy birthday week 🎉🎂
I found the audio of We Used to Live Here SO engaging. I’m always a sucker for queer horror in any capacity. I just love seeing gay people exist in stories 🥰
Thank you for bringing The Skin and It’s Girls to my attention, it sounds right up my alley!
Hope you also enjoy the skin and its girl!
Elysium was one of my surprise favs as well!!
Such a unique time!
Happy birthday week
Thank you ☺️
