An experienced female gives advice to a small peacock. It's so cute 🤗 "Hey, baby, your feathers are still small. It's too early for you. You have everything ahead of you!"
+Laura G Oh, no. He's practicing displaying for when he will have those long train feathers in a couple of years. The "bold" peahen pushing him back may be his mother or a relative. Thanks for watching, my dear friend. Big hugs back atcha!!!
+Laura G They only raise their tail feathers as a warning to squirrels, small birds, etc...You may be thinking of that as a defense mechanism. But when peahens are around, you can be sure they're courting her!
Dear Miss P, This is a young male Peacock, brave and daring, with a great character to woo and seduce these beautiful peahen who exerted a great fascination onto him. Although the female, as usual, does not seem very impressed by his bravery and gallantry, She ignores his feathers display. Oh boy!, More luck for next attack... Thank you my dear Miss P for this wonderful creation. I embrace you fraternally, Francisco

Hi, I live in the U.K. A peacock and 2 peahens have turned up in my village. I am worried about them! I can’t feed them as I have ferrets and the peacocks are having a stand off with them. (Although I do relent and give them grapes, bird food, cos they are so lovely) Another neighbour feeds them but no one is ‘looking after’ them. Any advice please!?
The peacock and peahens are pretty independent. Leaving food for them is very helpful though. Grapes are good. They also like raw sunflower seeds and unsalted peanuts. Enjoy them, my friend!
Nice share, Miss P! Cat Ivan said 'The beginning of January is too early for any displays. That female bird just turned away from him. I will wait for my displaying until Spring." (that cat has always the last word;-)) Purrs & meows from Cat Ivan & dad =^.^=
+FunnyAccent1 Cat Ivan is right! He was just being an "early bird." So nice to hear from you, Cat Ivan & dad! Hope you have a purrrr-fectly happy week, filled with treats for Cat Ivan & delights for dad! The peafowl are sending hugs your way!

Nope, it's male. The young males have blue heads and necks and striated feathers on their backs, and the females have brown heads, green necks, and smooth brown feathers on their backs.

Wait so all peacocks get to mate when they’re older, just not when they’re young and have small feathers

Did the peahen ever find her lost male or female?
Yes, she did. Thanks. Have a good week!
Great
How dyu know the difference between a male and female peacock when it's young and their feathers are down ?
Males have a blue head and neck and striated feathers on their back. Females have a brown head, green neck and smooth brown feathers on their back.

nvm I just read the bottom
what were the sounds youre peahens were making because my peacock named Mr.blind because of his eye is blind was making the same noises
+Mangle Sounds like : "A-ho, A-ho." I feel so bad that your peacock eye is blind. How did you find that out?
peacocklover27 when I got him the next day he was laying down and he kept looking at me with one eye and when I saw the other eye it was swollen and a bit white and he let me pet his tail
+Mangle Oh, that's too bad. Poor peacock.
+peacocklover27 but he is OK he is walking around fine just needs some glasses
+Mangle I'm glad he's OK.
When males open their tails is just a call to mate? Or is there any other reason?
When peacocks display (open their train feathers) it is mainly to entice a female to mate with them, but they also open their feathers as a warning (to squirrels, etc.) and females will also open their tail feathers as a warning to others.
Oh, good to know. Thanks for answering my doubt.
Im from sri lanka.I want to know if I can get a male female in three months.Because i have a 3 month old peacock
You need to contact a breeder in your country.
I contect them..but they can't tell
@@imashajayamini3659 What can't they tell?

Why do peahens and peacocks always peck at the ground in the beginning of videos?
Not sure why in other videos, but in this video they're looking for food (bugs, worms) in the grass and also eating the grass.
Nice
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed!

Think you seen too many women with makeup.remove the makeup or put the makeup and you will see the male peacock.
