Do you care about being looked down at if this is to become a millionaire? Be really honest, it's just that you don't wan't to do this, but if you had NOW your future you that comes to you saying "do it for real, even if you look bad in 5 years you have 2 millions I'm not kidding" do you think you would care about looking bad? You will have to do concessions anyway to be a millionnaire anytime in your life, you will have to sacrifice things to do it. Here it's your pride, but when you think about it for a second you will automatically gain more and more pride the more money you have. And in some years when you are millionnaire you will be the one looking down on those you knocked their door on.
Now ofc I'm talking without really knowing your troubles, just trying to make you realize that no matter your problems or your situation you can make it with enough precaution and discipline, if it's not knocking on doors you find another thing to sell, idk make a lemon stand, find a place where you could work only sundays if you have school for example, if those don't work find something by yourself, there is NO place where there's 0 possibility of business/selling if there are people to be clients. Hoped this helped you :)

Ok but for real though those 3 referrals are HUGE! I did marketing for a month or so before I realized I didn't enjoy it and left. I eventually ran out of referrals because I didn't press that hard enough. That kind of put an end to it because now there is no one to sell stuff too again. With lawn mowing it can be recurring so the referrals aren't AS necessary but it is a good habit to get into if you are going to do this with something that might not be able to be recurring.

Well yeah, real-estate is the thing proven to be one of the investments to make, because the more you have, the more people you can rent too, and the more monthly or even bi-weekly money, and the more money you make, the more property you can buy and rinse and repeat until you can retire comfortably.
Only problem is, buying property nowadays is hard starting from nothing if you live anywhere near big cities, and if you don't, the property may be cheaper, but harder to get people to rent them, so slower gains.

Solid advice. If you think starting a business is too much for you right now, you can just start at a retail job and learn people skills from there. Trust me, you will find getting the business started easier.
But remember, this is only one way to make it. Some people just use their teens to focus on learning skills, skills that will make them invaluable. If you enjoy doing something that can make you money, you can focus on that and if you need money for spending/investing, you can always get a part time job.

I’d rather focus on buying the house, before investing into the market, even with say 2x returns in 2 years you can go from say 20k to 40k and that’s sweet, but with real estate you go from 20k to say 300k comfortably if you qualify, you could sell and cash out or created cash flow properties, then use the money to invest in the market to earn dividends (more cash flow) and appreciation of your stocks.

That way it may not take years at a time to save for the next property, even taking HELOC's into account.
