I love how in all of these types of videos Nicholi Rogatkin is always at the finish being every other riders' hype man at the end. the comradery is awesome!
This is absolutely insane, not the riding, the venue. Did Redbull legit just rent out a city!? The size, the detail and the logistics of this is just unbelievable. I mean this place is packed A SMALL CITY IS PACKED! For a mountain bike event!
This is honestly all I cared to comment and point out. Red Bull did such an amazing job arranging this course in the streets of this city. The backdrops are beautiful along with the crowds.
Red Bull, I don't know if you'll see this or receive it fully, but I honestly really enjoyed merely just seeing the setup and surroundings of this course. It looks like an awesome place to travel to and watch an event such as this. Whoever helped put it together did a great job. I honestly appreciate the work that went into it.
He’s a god damn artist on two wheels man. Does anyone else feel like watching him do these insane manoeuvres makes them feel so chuffed to be part of the same species at this guy?
The kid at the end hitting the Indian air 360 had me going absolutely wild. Insane run that completely goes outside the same kind of run everyone else is doing like Emil full of tail whips and bar spins. Insane tricks from everyone regardless, I just thought that run had everything and then some. Great event.
I still don't see how Emil won the District Ride... He was amazing, not gonna argue, but he had three sloppy landings in this second run and still scored 90/100 points while the judges seemed to punish mistakes in other runs much harsher. Rogatkin had a cleaner second run, even more energetic and pumped than Johansson imo and in the end still was more than 1pt short. How? 🤔
@@1991Crome emil just 360s every jump, ye he does some technical tricks but its no variation its 360 tailwhip, then oppo than another x up/ barspin in and nicholi does fronties/ 360/ and then the banger like cashis oder 1080/1440
they all shold be running fully jumpers cause see how emil dont wash out when he lands hard off a spin. the back shock absorbs a lot of that. hes the only one riding. i have the same bike trek ticket and i have a giant dirt jumper stp and its only a hardtail dirt jumper and hardtail. i can get away with a lot more on my ticket.
The video confusingly plays in podium order not chronological order, so Nicholi & Erik bump down Emil's earlier run; notice the score they are beating at that point is lower than the one you've already seen him land in his later run.
Alright... So Emiles Trick off the Cannon in the final section... Commentator calls it a 360 double downside whip... but how is it not a tailwhip decade? He spins 360 with the bars like a decade while the back of the bike does a single tailwhip... Not trying to talk it down in ANYWAY, its sick... but to me as an old BMXer that looks like a tailwhip decade to me!
I think that rogatkin should have won yeah the opposite rotations and tricks but is actually a 360 regular tailwhip to opposite tailwhip better then a 1440 a trick with five rotations for me that is ridicoulous he didnt even land clean at every trick for me bangers are harder then technique
Is it too early in his career to start calling him the goat of Slopestyle because they are the Words At the moment to describe him I don’t wish him to get injured but I think that is the only way the other riders have got a chance of winning a comp until that day happens comment section is just going to be saying the same thing what an amazing run and how the hell does he do the stuff he’s doing I think Nikolai is going to have to start doing 1440 Combos to beat him. or start practicing 18s and 19s lol
@@henricrabs lol I was taking the Mick about 18s and 19s but that’s probably what it would take to bring Johansson down how can someone be the goat of your sport at 22 is ridiculous i’ve said it many of times I don’t know how NASA haven’t found the planet Johansson yet with all of the technology nowadays it must be so from from our solar system no technology is available yet to find it lol
Funny you mention him needing to be injured for the other guys to have a chance. He broke his hand a month before the most recent Whistler slope style... still performed with an injury and took 1st place. It would be wrong to say wasn't born to do this. His brain is wired differently. Being able to do so many reverse tricks is insane, the other guys can't keep up with him. The difference between Nikolai and Emil is huge honestly. Nikolai is there to have fun primarily, fancy tricks are a bonus. Emil is there to win.
@@flawless7019 Yeah I forgot he had a broken hand yeah the kid is an absolute madman with his Opposite tricks his opposite 7s just as good as his normal direction I can’t tell the difference it’s crazy obviously him and Nikolai Oh wait above everyone else but a future winner is going to be Lucas Huppert and tester They’ve impressed me over the past few comps They are both really talented kids
Nah man, Nicholi is doing enough spins. What he needs to do is to throw some technicality in his spins. He was already doing that with his oppo cashroll, cashroll tailwhip and frontflip tailwhip. He would win if he did all those bangers within a single run. That's the difference to emil - emil actually throws all of his bangers within one run (360 double downside whip, switch 360 double whip, 360 windshield viper...)
@@cheker10000 True dat yeah Nikolai does need to throw some technicality into his runs with the Bangas but even if he throws all that within One run i think Emil is still too strong
Mat jones give a great insight and can call the tricks on the run, i like it.
shame he cheated on his fiancé

Emil's technicality and difficulty level is way higher because of all of the oppo tricks. He makes it look easy but it's barely humanly possibile
I think you need to watch again and compare trick for trick. Emils difficulty is a lot higher.
@@mikedamisch Thanks i've been there live on both Friday and Saturday and have watched the replay already.
What about Dawid Godziek?

Rogatkins run should have scored higher than Johanssons
depends on, Emil run was more technical wich made it score more higher obvouisly, So they scored right even if rogatkins run was lit
